When to book towncar service?

We are doing a split Universal/WDW vacation at the end of January. We usually use ME both ways and are new to using a car service.

When would you recommend reserving? I am still debating between a van or a limo. It is about twice the price, but we are arriving very late and I think the Limo might give my three exhausted children a bit of a special surprise.

Also, do any of the companies give a "round-trip" type discount if I use them for MCO to Universal and then Universal to WDW? We will be taking ME back to the airport.

They usually do offer a discount for round trips, but that is usually original pick up location to drop off, return. You could ask them if they would do something for you in this case. The limo will also have a movie and some water and drinks etc., when you get in. You could book now. They usually don't run any super specials for car service so any time is fine to book.

Remember to tip for each leg since you may not have the same driver each time.

I don't think you have to book it too far in advance, unless it's for your own piece of mind.

I usually book a month in advance, because I like to have all my ducks in a row as far in advance as possible, but when I used to travel for business, sometimes the town car arrangements would be made only hours in advance, and I never had a problem.
