When to book for Dec 2006

We are planning a trip Dec. 14- 20. When do we need to book -- I've seen on here people are booking already -- if I wait, will the rooms fill up. We are looking at staying at a moderate resort (probably CSR). Last time we went in June 2004, I had no trouble booking the room 3 months out.

The sooner the better.. you can always change your ressies(within reason) if you want to.. but we make ours as far out as possible..

I agree with booking now. Just make sure you read the fine print on cancelation policies.

I would say book now to be sure and get exactly what you want. I booked our Dec. 2006 trip in Dec. 2005. I needed four rooms at WL and wanted standard view and AAA discount. They only allow a certain number of rooms at the AAA rate, (and a certain number of standard rooms at that) so I book as soon as I can. I can always change it to a package deal if something better comes out. If you know your dates I would book a room only ressie and watch to see if a special comes out and change it later if one does.

We've been booked for Nov/Dec 2006 since July 2005. The sooner the better.

I think it depends on where you want to stay and if you have a special type of room in mind. We are going this Dec and have already booked, but we wanted Atrium Club and the AAA rate. I would guess those go pretty fast.

On the other hand, we also went in Dec of 04. We didn't book until early October when there was a room only code and we could only afford a wing room at the CR.

I guess my point is, do you have your heart set on one resort or certain type of room? If you do, book early. If you are flexible, I don't think you "need" to book for a little while still.

We booked a few weeks ago for the first week in December and they said people were booking like crazy for that time. A few of the room categories were sold out including suites at the Polynesian.

I booked our December 12th-19th trip this past January. But then again I am one of the overobsessive planners on these boards. I like to the time given to pay off my trip- I have until October 26th, that is awesome. I think that time of the year is getting busier and you are going to find it harder to find rooms available. I say book asap.

We're going December 15-20 and have already booked. Get this: no King beds at POFQ ... and this is 9 months out. I would book asap because you can change your reservations if something comes up.

I would definitely book soon. We booked our December 3 -9 trip in the beginning of March. When we booked our room at the WL, they had already sold out of the standard view.

Book ahead. WDW is getting to be very popular. We wanted an AKL Deluxe Savannah view and we had a special discount. I called the day it was available and there was no availability except concierge and they could not guarantee the savannah view. I called back the next day after discussing with DH and friend and we were going to change to Poly but they had a room availaible. Aifare is paid for and package is 50% paid for.

We booked at this time last year for our Dec. 11th to 20th trip.

Like others have stated. You can always change your reservations or apply discount codes later.

Same here and we booked this in January - I called back a few weeks later to add an extra night and there was no availability for the date I wanted. I'd book sooner rather than later

I called for Coronado Springs last night for three weeks after your trip and they were booked up completely!! I would call now to find out if they have a room available!

I made my ressies for the Contemporary for Nov. 27-Dec. 3 in January. The only room catagory availalbe was Tower - MK view. This is what I wanted but I was surprised that the garden wing rooms were already sold out.

I would call ASAP!
