When to book for before Christmas.

WE ARE JUST IN THE PLANNING STAGES FOR CAMPING AT THE FORT Dec 19 to the 26 or 27th in 2007. How far in advance can you book. I tried to see what the cost was for 2006 to have an idea and it shows no availibility. When do you Christmas campers book?

I would book NOW! Those dates fill up quickly. You would be surprised how many reservations have already been made for that week. Book now. You can always try to change the dates or specifics later.

To be more specific, it is easy to reduce the number of days you have, adding days can be a pain. Make reservations now with all the days you may want. If you plans change you can always have days taken off the reservation.

The other thing to keep in mind is the "season" your resevation starts in. Using this year as an example:

November 11- December 19 "Pre-Holiday Season"
December 20 - December 31 "Holiday Season"

If your reservation starts on December 19 in Pre-Holiday Season, you pay the Pre-Holiday Seasonprices for your entire visit. But, If your reservations starts on December 20 you pay the higher Holiday Season rate for your visit. Once you check in, Disney does not change your rate during that visit.

The 2007 "Season" list will probably not be out for a few months. You can still make the reservation with the understanding that you will be paying 2007 rates.
