When to book ADRs

I've been reading threads that mention booking ADRs 180+10 days in advance. How do you qualify for the extra 10 days?

Also, this is our first trip with the DDP. If I call to book my ADRs on the first eligible day, can I book all five days, or just the first day of my trip?

Thanks!

When is your trip? We are going next month and I just booked my ADRs. I was able to do the entire week at one time.

To book your ADR's at the 180 day +10 mark, you have to be staying on Disney property. Obviously, if your on the DP, then you are and you qualify to do that.

Yes, you can book all five days (up to 10 days) on the 180 day mark.

Happy booking.:)

Wow. Were you able to get the restaurants and times you wanted? I have never dared wait that long to make the bulk of my ADRs.

We are going in September.

It's funny ... I can't even plan early in the day what I want for dinner, yet here I am trying to work out reservations for our trip six months from now.

I am considering CRT, Le Cellier, Cali Grill, and some 1 credit TSs like Ohana and Boma.

Which restaurant is hardest to get an ADR for? I imagine CRT? But I hear Le Cellier is super hard, also. How do I decide what to book first when I call?

We're taking a last minute trip down and booked our ADR's less than a month from arrival. I got all the restaurants we wanted including Cinderellas Royal Table which the book I have said fills up immediately at the 180 day mark. ??? No idea why it was so easy this short of notice. The only glitch is that we're eating between 4 and 5 pm instead of the peak dinner hours. But we don't care!

When I called the lady was super nice and not at all rude about me calling so late in the game. She first asked me to give her a list of all the places we were hoping to eat at. Then she started with the hardest one to get into and went from there. It helped that I was flexible and didn't care which day was for which (just that they were each on different days, lol).`

LeCellier is probably the hardest on your list and one of the most popular overall. CRT normally books up quickly, too.

I know this may sound like a dumb question but, when I made my reservation it had to be 7 months from our check-out date (DVC not a home resort reservation). I counted 180 from our 8/21 check-in date and came up with 2/23 to begin calling but this is a Saturday and I can't remember if you can make dining reservations on a Saturday. Plus, if I get the +10 from check-in, I can begin making my ADRs today.

No you can't make ADR's today. 180 +10 is not 190. What it means that on the 180th day before you arrive, you can make ADRS for that day and 10 days FORWARD. You don't have call the 180th day before your second day at WDW, then call again the 180th day before your third day at WDW, etc to make more ADR's.

Boy, do I feel dumb :confused3 . Thank you for straightening me out, although I think I'll put this down to 'fuzzy Disney math' :rotfl2:

So, on 2/23 I can call and make my ADRs for 8/21 plus the next 10 days. :worship:

Do you know if reservations are open on a Saturday?

Yes, they are open on Sat; I called last weekend to change mine around (I'm going in May and was able to get everything I wanted when I wanted them).
