When to apply for Disney Visa

I know I want to get a Disney Visa and I know that I want the Premier version (for a year), but I can't decide when to apply for it. I've heard that when you order a vacation planning DVD, you may get an offer for a $200 bonus shortly thereafter. I've ordered the DVD but they say it may take a few weeks to come. I've also heard that card holders get advance notice of new promos (like the free dining) and in particular, you may have to be a card holder to use the free dining in a LM room at AoA (which is exactly what we want to do). Last year, the Jan-Feb free dining came out in mid-August. Sooo, should I take a gamble and hold out for the $200 bonus, running the risk that we won't get the free dining in a LM room b/c I don't have the Visa card in time, or should I suck it up and take the $100 bonus now so that I'm ready if they release the 2013 promos? What do you think the odds are and what would you gamble?

I'll also note that we're only staying in a Disney resort if we can get free dining, and we really, really, want to stay at AoA because we're not going any higher than a value resort.

I was wondering pretty much the same thing. I knew there had to be a better deal than $100 or $50 gift cards as incentive.
