When Southwest opens dates next week--what price are you hoping for?

I should have stressed to the rest of my family the importance of being available this morning...I need to book 9 tix and I can't get ahold of anyone. ARG!! And some of the cheap rates are already disappearing.

The last time they openned I book my fares for $54 each way out of Dulles. I booked my January ticket and my March ticket. I would like to see that price again for my late April/early May trip. You just can't beat $108 rt to WDW out of Wash. DC.

Well I got my wish, they are released and again $54 ec way out of Dulles. Now what day do I want to leave?

I'm not sure, I'll have to do some checking for the rest of the family. I went ahead and booked tickets for my family of 4. I like the day/time for our departure, but I had to book our return flight a day earlier than I wanted. (Prices were $59 for Saturday and $207 for Sunday--ouch!!) But, I'm hoping that maybe there will be a sale or a ding down the road that I can cancel and rebook us on.

So, total for the 4 of us $571 r/t. Not as good as our 2006 trip where it cost $478, but I'm still pleased!

My airfare sucks... $99 down (which I bought on the last onsale for March 5th), but $164 back on March 13th - if I could fly out on the 15th it would be $94, but we have to fly out on the 13th due to scheduling. Oh well...bought and paid and hoping for a ding!

Good for you! You're flying out of KC too right? We'll have to watch for dings/sales and come back here and post if we see something...maybe you can get a flight time you like better.

GREAT. Remember, keep your eyes open and if they put out more sales check and see if the flights you would prefer are on sale, you can go in and change your flights for no charge (unless the flight you pick is more expensive). We just did this for our January trip and the flights that we really wanted went on sale. Now we don't have to be up at the crack of dawn to catch ME to the airport. to SWA! Now I'm watching for good prices to VT in April...oh why did my brother pick an out of the way place to get married in!!!

Thanks! I will keep watching for better prices on my preferred flight times! That's just one of many things I love about Southwest--so easy to change times--and FREE to do it!
My current flight out of KC isn't until 5:15. I'd love to leave earlier in the day so we can at least see the fireworks or something.
Unfortunately, my current flight back home is early in the morning. Hoping to change that one too. But for $59 each way, I can do this trip virtually GUILT-FREE!!
