I usually buy tickets as soon as i plan my trip. what kind of discount do you get through Dvc membership? Or can't you say? I have found that ticketmania.com have the best prices on tickets, i have been buying them every year, just ordered mine friday. They send them to your home, or what we've done when there is no time to recieve them at home we have them sent to our resort, never had a problem.
example....7 day park hopper...244.00 for adult 210.00 for children 3-9

The discount isnt all that greta through DVC.

If i purchase them now and have them sent to my house can i have them added to our Key to the World cards when we check in?

I will check out ticketmania.com

Thanks

i am really not sure, but i don't think you can do that. We always just had 2 cards, the tickets and our key to the world. but i thought the discount was worth it....

There really isn't any reason to buy your tickets ahead of time. Just wait until you get there and do it either at check-in or at the first park you visit.

Jeff, We are going at the end of February. Do you think that the prices are going to increase between now and then? We will probably do 10 MMY tickets. I have heard some speculation that daily ticket prices may increase on February 1st.

That would be the one reason to buy ahead of time. If ticket prices are raised, then your previously-purchased tickets are honored even if you purchased them at the old rate. Any other buzz on when ticket prices are going up? Usually it is the first of the year. Last year, it was the first of the year and August. Nothing so far.

If you are buying several tickets the discount from ticketmania or one of the other ticket brothers can definitely be worth it. The prices shown on the Disney web site do not include tax while the ones on the ticket broker sites usually do so you have to be careful to make sure you are comparing apples to apples. We only bought one 10 day MYW wtih PH ticket this year but it was worth it to get it from ticket mania even with paying to have it delivered to the hotel.

You will pay less buying ahead of time- if you sign uo for the mousesavers.com newsletter you will get an email link to a good ticket discounter - Undercover Tourist- I haven't found cheaper tickets than the mousesavers email link- the newsletter is sent on the 15th of every month.
Disney used to give you a few bucks off if you purchased early- don't they do that anymore?

not the ones I most recently bought- especially since ticketmania started charging shipping.
the 10 day hopper plus with no exp is close but Ticketmania charges shipping- making UT through mousesavers less expensive for that particular ticket-
the seven day hoppers that expire are slightly cheaper at UT (95 cents less per adult, $1.95 less per child)- and no shipping.

crys5 - are you using the link or just going to UT direct?

i am using the link....actually UT is .95 more and the childs is 2.95 more than ticketmania...they have been charging shipping for the past three years i have been buying from them...6.00 for as many i usually buy sometimes as many as 9.....i haven't had any problems with them, not that there would be problems with UT , i just haven't used them them...actually when i looked UT up one day last week the tickets i wanted were listed at 249.00 for a seven day hopper, but today the price is different .95 more than ticketmania, but you are right ,with shipping it comes out a little cheaper today.....i guess also depends on how many child tickets you need also may break even...

With the price increases that Disney has been known to have, I purchase mine as soon as I know I am going or a year or two in advance.

crys5- You are right- I had this backwards- I just looked and the it is Ticketmania that is 95/1.95 less- but for me - buying less than 6 adult tickets it was cheaper to go through mousesavers
