We spent a week at AKL last March 5th-12th. We enjoyed that time of year. It wasn't terribly crowded (though, the final Friday was much more congested.) The weather was nice. Not too hot, even cool at times. Still swimmable, albeit a chilly swim. We were there in conjunction with a conference for dh in Orlando, a few days before--so that's what decided out timing of the trip.

He just got the info for his conference this year. It's farther south from Orlando and on the beach (YAY!), but is Feb. 26- Mar. 1st. So, those days are out as park days. But, we need to make a decision:

Do we split our trip and spend 3 days at WDW before the conference and then return afterward for an additional 3 days (so, last week of Feb. and first week of Mar.)? Do we spend our full week leading up to the conference in WDW, so all during the last week of Feb.? OR, do we go to the conference first and finish up with a week at Disney (which would mean the first week of March)?

Something tells me the last week of February may be more crowded than the first week of March with all of the Northeast schools having February breaks, possibly that week. We don't have those here. Most of our kids will have spring break either the 2nd or 3rd week in March...

And, if it helps, we have a son who will be 5 and a daughter who will be 4 who will be traveling with us...

Any insight? Thank you! I really appreciate it!

Feb 22-25 and Mar 2-4 will probably be low crowds, before and after those dates will be Pres. Day and then Spring Break crowds. Between your choices, I would pick going the first week in March. I wouldn't want to split the stay, and I think if you look at an entire week before or after your dh's conference, the March time frame would be better. (Pres. Day crowds are BIG from what I've learned.) We were originally going to go the first week of march, but moved our trip into early-mid Feb....value season. :)

Good luck! :)
