When should my fastpass + window open?

I thought it was 60 days, right? Is that 60 days before your package? Or 60 days before your resort stay?

We booked June 7-12 at Beach Club. We later added June 6-7 at Port Orleans for the day before, room only. My fastpass window says it opens April 8 - which is what it was before we booked the June 6-7 night. Why didn't it change? Shouldn't it be a day earlier since we'll be on property a day earlier? Or is it linked directly to our ticket package?

It's because of your package. If you had room-only for both resorts and separate tickets linked, then it would have changed your date. One day shouldn't make a difference in selecting your Fp+...

Is you POR stay listed on your account when you login? If it is, then your FP window should reflect the earlier time. If not, you may need to take additional steps to have it linked. I'm not an expert, obviously, but I have a room only ressie so that shouldn't be a problem for you.

I see itinkso has a better answer. I never buy packages so I missed the ticket link part!

Yes, when I go to My Disney Experience, it has my POR reservation listed (as room only), then my Beach Club reservation (with the ticket/dining package) and then our ASM reservation (again, room only).

That makes sense that it is linked to the ticket package. There wouldn't be any way to add an extra day to our ticket and link it to our room only reservation without also adding on another day of dining, do you think?

Not without paying full price for a one day ticket, I believe.

We are doing the same thing. 2 nights POR, no tickets/6 nights YC, tickets and dining plan/1 night WL no dining. Our FP+ is 60 days from our package date since that is what our tickets are linked to.

You'll be able to enter parks on the 6th by using your MagicBand. Others have reported it can be done three days in advance of the package resort stay.

If you feel you need to add on a day, you can do that during your stay... no need to do it ahead of time.

Okay! I'm not trying to finagle anything - we just don't want to pay for another day of DxDP that we won't use.

I understand that completely, which is why we split up our stay. The dining plan is so expensive, and we didn't need it for the whole trip, especially if we want to stay in budget. :thumbsup2

I do however see that this is a bump in the road for split stays with FP+ and packages, since your tickets are linked to the package. It is nice to know that we could potentially use our tickets 3 days early (might use that option), but that doesn't change the fact that we can't book FP+ for them until 60 days out from the package date.
