When should I wear a DVC shirt?

My wife bought me a nice, white, collared (golf style) DVC Member shirt. Although I do appreciate the thought and am proud of being a DVC member, I have no clue when I will ever wear it. I would certainly wear to a DVC function that I may ever attend (although I don't know of any) but other than that, I guess the only place I may wear it is in Disney. I don't even like to wear anything other than t-shirts in WDW since anything else seems too hot to me (with the exception of tank tops.)

Any suggestions, comments?

I wear my DVC shirts all over the place, why do you feel you cannot wear it places?

I also don't understand why you wouldn't wear it at any place that a polo style shirt was appropriate ?!?

"What is the best time to wear a DVC shirt?"

Every time!

I don't know, I feel like it's a work uniform or something. Like, if I wore it to walmart or something like that, people would come up to me and ask me if I worked there.

My DH mostly wears his at Disney. i guess when we go to dinner and a collared shirt seems more appropriate than a tee. He actually enjoys his DVC shirts. He bought them himself. He has VWL, BWV, and we have sort of matching ones from F&G one year.

I wear my DVC shirt all the time and I get lots of comments on it. Nevertheless if you are looking for a particular time to wear it I would suggest you wear it on a cruise during the DVC owners meet so you get free stuff. Warning - the free stuff is more DVC logo items.

I get that no matter where I go and no matter what I am wearing. I don't know why but it always happens.

You could get a job as a Guide. :goodvibes

We used to buy DVC branded items when we first became owners. During the last few years, owning a DVC contract has become just that. We came to realize that it's not a club, it's people who spent money on a prepaid discounted room. :sad1:

This one made me laugh. My wife bought me some really bright collared shirts before we were married. I put one on to go to a family party and my brothers rushed over as soon as they saw me just to say "nice shirt". That was the first and last time I wore either. I would hang it right next to those shirts and get it out when I pack for Disney.

Before I retired, I wore mine to work. Bill wears his to work, too (he's not retired yet).

Now I wear my DVC long sleeved tee at home.

We treat our DVC shirts like regular clothing. DH wears his DVC polo all the time. In fact, that's what he wore one day last weekend. I wear my DVC long sleeve tee on the weekends too.

We both wear all of our DVC / Disney clothing all the time. Heck, half my wardrobe is Disney themed. My DH has a couple of the nice DVC polo style golf shirts that he wears to work on Fridays when they dress more casually. He prefers more subtle writing / logos but he's also a proud Disneyholic.

DH wears his when he golfs. He'll also wear it at those times where he wants to be more "dressed up" than a t-shirt but not as formal as a button down.
