When should I buy my flight tickets?

Now that SW has released their schedule through January, I can buy my tickets for December. Do you think it is a good idea to buy them this early or should I wait for possible discounts?

SW give a credit if the price goes down. If you buy them now and keep a check on your flights you can get the credit. SW doesn't fly out of my home airport but JB does they also give a credit. I usually buy when I have my dates worked out then get a credit if it goes down.
