I have never booked airplane tickets by myself before so I'm not sure what to do:confused: I'm curious when the best time to book is. We're going Sunday September 3rd - Sunday September 10th. We live in Plymouth, MA so the distance between TF Green and Logan is the same. Should I book ASAP or should I wait and hope for a better deal? For the 3 of us right now it will cost about $650. What ever happened to southwest and the $49 fares? Everything I found lately is really expensive!! Please help

JetBlue, Delta/Song out of Boston and Southwest out of PVD should all offer some kind of discounted fares this summer. The only downside is that you are flying over a holiday weekend which may keep the fares on the high side.Maybe some folks here can share their fares from last year over Labor Day weekend out of this area. ::MinnieMo

You're talking about something which is almost 9 months away. I'd wait a while. Additionally, I'd suggest you sign up with a site like travelocity.com It's free and you can set up a fare-watcher. When the airfare lowers (or goes up) by $25 or more it'll email you. Within that email You can click on the link and see if the flights work with your schedule, and if it's a good bargain for you. We're going in August, but I'm not even considering flights at this time. Our regional airport has flights by a "no-frills" carrier -- Airtran, and when AirTran realeases their schedule then typically the other airlines match price. So, if one of the more of the "no frills" carriers are operating out of either airport you choose, you can always wait a while for compitition to heat up... Either way, I hope to have my flights by 6 weeks out to avoid last minute madness.

Well, if you want to fly SWA, you'll have to wait until the schedule opens out further. Right now they have $59 from PVI to MCO. :cool1: Why spend the $650 now when you can spend under $400 later?
SWA is #1!

we usually fly sw because of low fares and we'd rather fly out of providence. Just to get an idea of what we might be paying I looked up prices for flights from pvi to mco and they were really expensive! That's what threw me off. I know I can't book with them yet anyway but I wanted a better idea of what to expect. I hope I can get the $59 price when I go. Thanks for your help :teeth:

:confused3 good question though.....we are also going in Sept. and the airline we want to fly on AirTran doesnt' even have fares available yet for Sept.................good luck!! we already have our park hoppers!!!!!!!!!!!!
