When should I book my trip??!!!

Ok, so now my question/poll is this: when does everyone recommend spending their days around their wedding? Let me clarify..... my DW and I are having a VR ceremony on a Friday and I can't decide if I want to book our stay for the week of that Friday that way we can be there and make sure everything gets done prior to the ceremony, or if I should just come in that Thursday and then get to have a 2nd disneymoon after the ceremony. The more I think about it, I'm leaning towards put the ceremony at the end of the stay that way if we need to meet with our EM or anyone else that week to finalize decisions, we can do that. What does everyone else like to do?

We are arriving a few days before our wedding and staying a week after. If you are having a Intimate VR there really shouldnt be alot to take care of. Then you could relax and have a 2nd Honeymoon after.

I say come in thursday and have the second honeymoon. We're coming in 2 days before ours and staying 5 after - we figured we'd enjoy the parks more once the wedding was done instead of being there before and worrying about it all week.

We arrive on Thursday (the day before the wedding, March 8th) and we leave the following Saturday the 17th. This way we can have moe of a "honeymoon" instead of a vacay before we are husband and wife. But being that you are doing a VR (correct?) i would say do whatever makes you comfortable and happy!

We were married on a Tuesday and flew into Orlando on Sunday... that way we had Monday to go get our marriage liscense (which you wont have to do) and then get in contact with all of our vendors and give out the hotel rooms, and then the wedding the next day.

Are you doing an intimate or custom? Theres not much finalizing or sorting out before the wedding for intimates other than calling all your vendors and giving them your hotel room number and a cell phone number just in case (if you brought yours).

I recommend coming in a day or 2 before the WR, and then staying a while after so you can make a vacation out of it.

I just had an Intimate in July and there really isn't alot for you to do when you get there. I talked with my EM a couple of times on the phone because I was freaking out thinking there was more I had to do.

I think you should get there on thrusday and have a honeymoon!!

we arrived 3 full days before and had 3 full days after.
We stayed a total of 7 days
It worked out nice

Got the tux
Got the dress pressed
& we had extra time just in case something came up

That is where we got married. They actually set up a nice table right there and have your cake and champagene ready for you. The only extra you have to pay if for more bottles of champagne, or if you had kids there like I did sparkling cider.

I'm arriving on a Sunday for a Thursday wedding. I need to get a Florida marriage license, which actually the officiant can also pick up and mail it to me ahead of time for a fee. I don't know if I need to meet the photographer and officiant ahead of time or what else I have to do. I figure three days is plenty of time to get everything done. If I have extra time, I can spend some time relaxing ahead of the big day.
