When MK opens at 8am..

So MK has changed its hours on 2 of my MK days in December and will now be opening at 8am instead of 9. This isn't necessarily a good thing because now ill want to get up even earlier to make that 8am open which means less sleep lol. But my question is when they do an 8am open, is everything open? We planned to visit Mickey and tink in town square first thing. Did the characters meet that early? Every time I've done MK its always been a 9am open. Thank you.

Yes, everything is open. For an 8AM opening (not EMH), they start letting people in 7:45ish. Welcome Show will be at the castle stage 7:55AM, after which they ‘drop the ropes’ to other parts of park.
