So many schools are on some kind of year round schedule. I know a lot have their first break in October. Our school actually will be having theirs the end of September. How about yours, especially you San Diego and L.A. area folk.

UEA - Utah Escapes to Anaheim, I mean Utah Education Association break is 10/20 & 10/21 - lots of UT families *not this one, however we visited WDW for this break in 2009 and hope to be back for the break next year* head to DLR for this week/weekend.

Our Fall Break in Plano, TX is Oct. 21-24. Do you think the parks wil be really crowded this weekend bc of Utah?

I don't know the exact dates, but I'm in the Phoenix area and it seems like there is at least one school district that is out each week of October. Some get two weeks! And anyone in SoCal should know that EVERYONE in AZ flocks to SoCal on school breaks...

Yes because it's a weekend. All of LA has off. Year round school and little state populations like Utah make a small difference.

No fall break for us .... but will will be making our own Oct 8 - 15th coming down for some CA sunshine!!!!

That would be us :cool1:

We get off from oct. 3rd till the 18th and yes, we are considering going to Disneyland.

Yes, we were there for UEA weekend last year and it was VERY crowded on Saturday and Sunday. We're not going this year because I'm on travel restrictions due to pregnancy complications, but we had such a great time in spite of the crowds that we would go again that week.

The district I work for does not get a fall break. However, the district I live in does. They are out the second week of October, the 10th-14th. A lot of the districts here in the Central Valley have gone back to a traditional school calendar. Enrollment is declining so no need to try and pack all those kiddos into the schools.

We are in LA county (but not part of LA Unified) and we do not get a fall break. We haven't even started back yet (kids don't go back to school until 9/8).

I have kids in two different schools with one break 10/3-10/18 and the other 10/17-10/21. We will be at DL from 10/1-10/7.

The district my DH teaches in and my ODS attends do not have a fall break. They have 10/10 off but that is it. I don't know of any public districts in the Phoenix area with an actual week off as most I know of are on the "traditional" calendar (many don't even have 10/10 off).

I am going with my sister October 13th. I think that's a Wednesday. Whatever that Wednesday is, I'm away from a calendar. She will be in a wheelchair. I'm going to rent her one of those power chairs.

A bazillion schools in the Phoenix area have off for Fall Break the week of Oct. 10th. DL will be PACKED that week. :scared1: I know this because we've been there during AZ fall break weeks and it is busy, busy, busy. And can be really HOT.

Lots of Tucson schools have off that same week Oct 10-14th. I know lots of families going that week.

I'm in Sacramento. My oldest is out the entire week of Thanksgiving, my 8 year old is out Nov 23 - 25. The community colleges have the 24 - 26 here.

My kids don't have fall break per se but do have a four day weekend October 21-24. The public schools in my area are out October 28-31, which I imagine is a busy time at DL anyway. I don't think that the various fall breaks or long weekends would have as much impact at say, Thanksgiving, winter break or spring break.
