When is your 2014 Spring Break?

In Arkansas I believe all the schools have out the last week of March so the 24th through the 28th plus weekends.

Spring break here in Western NY is Apr 12 - 21; but kids are also off Feb 14 - 21.

Since there are 100 school districts in Southern California it varies. Our district has spring break the last week of March and the first week of April ( a 2 week break) regardless of when Easter falls.

We are just north of Dallas and our spring break is the second week in March 10 to 14 but I am pulling my DD out 2 days early and we are going the 6 to the 13th being from Texas I hope it is relatively warm and they dont have a cold snap while we are there.

I find it very interesting that most of the crowd calendars for early March 6 - 13th are predicting 10s the week we are there.

However, I have made several dining reservations in the last month and haven't had any problems getting what I want for our group of 14. These include; Ohana, Akershus, Crystal Palace, & Chef Mickeys.

My son's school district is off the first week of April. My own district is off the third week of April (before Easter and Monday after). That's why we are going in June.
While his district is more practical and always uses that first week regardless of when Easter falls, my district insists that the break involve Easter. when Easter is late, we miss the week before. When it is earlier, we are off Good Friday and the following week.
My daughter in college has the first week of March.

It varies here too, each district does their own thing. I'm surprised seeing answers where it seems the entire state coordinates and all gets the same week off.

Ha, I know. But I was wondering with Easter falling later than it often does if it would make a difference. In Boston our spring break is always tied to Patriots Day which is 4/21 this year, about a week later than normal. We went to WDW in April 2011 when Easter was the Sunday at the end of our trip and found it busy but manageable. This time Easter will be at the start of our break.

I was checking availability and would be able to get pretty much all the dining reservations I'd want plus DVC accommodations for the April dates so I was wondering if maybe spring break was spread out a bit more than it might normally be.

Our other option is the week leading up to July 4 so we are doomed either way.

March 24 week in VA (edit: she's in a private school, but the local public schools have the same week; different from Northern VA).

NC is more complicated. Some parts of the state are March 31 week. Other parts of the state are April 21 week. Yet other parts are the weeks in-between.

Such a late Easter really messes with this!
