I found a deal (well, really a STEAL) on tulip bulbs before Christmas and the weather was just insanely bad at that point.

The weather is warmer here now. What happens if I plant these bulbs? i have about 200 of them, so it'll be quite a project....

I think as long as they will get cold at some point you can go ahead and put them in now. If your cold season is over I'd force them in pots.

I live in a tropical climate with it being colder in the morning and evenings and it is growing with no problems.

well then, in that case, are any of you interested in traveling to Mississippi to help me plant these 200 bulbs?

Well......since we're under a winter storm warning, I guess that means I can't go!! ;) :)

We have some big number bulb planters on the F&G, rafiki! :) Check out this thread, Mamu planted 500 bulbs in one day!!! Wow!! :) :)

Your efforts will be beautifully rewarded in the spring! :)

When I plant a ton of bulbs I dig a big hole, as opposed to individual ones, and then toss the bulbs up and let them fall. I read once that was the way to get it to look natural. Anyway, I make sure they're all pointed the right way up and then cover them back up with the soil. You can do a lot of bulbs in a short time that way.
Hmmm...It's probably warm in Mississippi today isn't it? Maybe I need a road trip.... :scratchin

it has been 65 to 70 degrees here lately, but today it has been a little rainy. Come on down! We have lots of space and little to do other than DIS around here....
