Thought that next time we go id budget for VIP passes but looking into it i didnt realise that you can only vip pass on the fast pass rides??? Is that right?

If so then its not worth the money as you can do most fast pass rides during EMH?

So when is the quietest time to visit?

Quietest times we've been are first week of October, but that was in 2004 and January this year, taking a bit of a risk with the weather in January though.
We were OK we managed to get the week and in between the 2 bouts of snow and it really wasn't that cold. Everything was walk on, and I mean straight to the boats on IASW and POTC, and using Fast Pass straight onto BTM with no queue whatsoever, same story in WDS. :)

Quietest time I've ever been was midweek at the very beginning of December 09 - in fact my trip report when I came back was titled "its oh so quiet" :rotfl:. It was Christmas season too, so just lovely theming .

Have you just recently been to DLP mickeymouse11? If you have, I suspect the parks may have been busier than you were expecting because until the end of this week and for the past month or so, Toy Story Playland has been giving AP holders and their guests EMH, so I think folk have made special trips in this period that they may not have normally considered.

Certainly prior to this year, reports have come back from mid to late September trippers, midweek, saying how quiet the parks were :confused3.

September, January and March(not near easter holidays) were all quiet for us. The worst we have had was december.

The VIP are for fastpass rides only, you join the fastpass queue. I wouldn't buy one myself, there is not many Fastpass rides to make it worth while. if one of the main fastpass rides go down like BTM that is even less rides that takes it. We had one a few years ago as we stayed CC and only used it on BTM & Peter Pan. The Fastpass lines in the studio weren't open.

i have been during feb, march, oct and nov

for us the park was busiest in march, then oct, nov and feb being the quietest.

i think if you go during the week outside of school holidays it should be quiet enough

thanks

we went sept 9th -13th and i thought i would have been quiet-ish but the ques were 60-80 mins for the good rides,

we didnt manage crushes coaster and im gutted but didnt want to wait 80mins eek. my hubby went on tower of terror and the waiting time said 35mins, he went at 11am and didnt get back till 12.35!!! seriouly was panicking i had lost him!

Weekends are always busy, we did Thursday - Sunday in January and the wait time reached 80minutes for crush, BTM on the Saturday & Sunday. We just do rides in the early morning and spend the afternoon exploring the park, like adventure isle etc

The quietest time I've been was the first week of May Monday - Thursday. Most of the rides were walk ons and our longest wait was about 10 mins.

We were there 5th- 10th September, most things were ok, although didn't get on Crush, constant 60 mins, Tower of Terror was never more than 10-15min. Noticed Fantasyland things were quieter Tuesday, Wednesday. Shows midweek quieter.

We are going again 29th November and 14th March both Monday to Friday so hoping it will be even quieter.

yes they do, you can meet mickey and minnie dressed up in their greens, they have bagpipe players and a marching band, irish dancers putting on a show in front of the castle and marching in the pre parade with mickey and co. most importantly they have fireworks at the end of the night which were great. we really enjoyed it

Hi

Thanks for that, you sound like you had a great March trip and still managed to go on loads., Rude people were a problem when we were there last week as well, especially meeting the characters and some people were sneaking in the exit of teacups to go on!!!! Sounds about the same busy wise as a couple of days last week, had been hoping for quieter but good to know in advance.
Were the parks open 10-6pm or later for St Patricks Day?

Ash is a cutie, my wee 3 year old Joe will not dress up at all, loves Toy Story took an Alien costume with us but not a chance...

We've done a few March trips and the park has definately gotten busier over the years during this time, I've put it down to the free kids places, extra days and nights free and of course the St. Patricks Day celebrations :thumbsup2

Would definately recommend midweek over weekends, bracing myself for a chaotic and :crowded: October weekend.
