Since we are in a cat. 3 I know they are suppose to call us for our ressies at PALO. When is it usually? I know that some have never received a call. What do you do then?

We have a little over 3 weeks.....IS IT HERE YET???!!!??? :hyper: :sunny: :earseek:

Thanks for your help....

Travis

From our experience, and we've cruised three times all in a Cat. 2, Disney won't call you. You need to make the call to Debbie. Her number is 407-566-7411. HTH

Just FYI, I called the DCL 800 number and then asked for Debbie's extension (x67411), but realize she will only be there during normal business hours. My cruise is 4 months out, and I have already made my reservations. So, I would be calling her ASAP!

Thanks so much...I will call tomorrow. I have called several times and the lady today said....ohh there is a list they go buy.

Thanks so much!

cat 3 six times... they won't call. keep trying to get thru however don't get discouraged if you run into roadblocks. my neighbor went cat 3 and they told her over the phone several times that there was no call ahead for palo. there IS call ahead but don't sweat it if you don't get thru because concierge will take care of you.

I just called debbie...and got our ressies Thanks for your help!

Maybe one of you can answer another question of mine....I have heard you can and can't order PALO for room service in CAT. 1-3.

What is the real story on this!!??

Thanks again!

I can only speak from our experience in a Cat. 2 and from what we have been told by our concierge team(s). We did have the Palo menu in Cat 2. Since dh and I were going to go to Palo with other family members one evening I asked our Concierge Team (Monica and Maria) if it was possible to order from the Palo menu if our boys wanted to. Monica wasn't sure but did talk to PJ, the head waiter, in Palo and got back to us and said yes it was all right to do that. However, the boys ended up not wanting to order from Palo. They wanted chicken strips instead. As far as ordering from Palo, I remember seeing in the Concierge Book in the stateroom that while you have the ability to order from Palo, the order must be placed between certain times (i.e., 6pm to 7pm and 9pm to 10pm -- I can't recall the exact time.).

Here is some info we learned on our May 2002 cruise in a Cat. 2. There is an initial setup for soft drinks & water in Cat. 1-3. Our concierge Team then (Thierry and Christina) told us that Cat. 1 and 2 can have soft drinks and bottled water delivered after the initial setup with no charge but that Cat. 3 is charged for these things after that initial setup. With this said, and this is a guess on my part, but I do know that Cat. 1 and 2 can order from Palo. I think, though, that DCL has to draw the line at ordering from Palo and that Cat. 3 can't. I know it doesn't make sense because after all Cat. 3 has concierge services but there are only 2 Cat. 1s and 2 Cat. 2s. There are 18 Cat. 3s. As I said, this is a guess on my part. Hopefully, someone who is sailing soon will post the "correct" answer.
