Not sure when it will move, but it's been rumored they have made plans to move it to Africa and have applied for permits to construct a similar building like the one in Camp Minnie Mickey.
We love the Lion King Show - our reason to go to AK for 1/2 a day
They better keep it - no matter where they move it to in AK.
Africa - ok - FP Safari and then see Lion King, nice plan

Thats the only thing we go to AK for. We don't care for EE because my parents can't handle it and I don't care to ride alone. Also don't care for Dinosaur cause it scares me. So we go for the animals, safari and lion king. We would catch Flights of Wonder if there were actually some good places to eat in AK as to not force us to eat somewhere else.
The new theater is going to be completely built first, then they will move the show over.
However do expect it to still be closed for about a week, maybe two? when it does move as they'll have to move all the floats, props, set pieces, and possibly even the lights/tech stuff over to the new building, set it all up and make sure it runs smoothly before they open again!
