When is Fall Break in your area?

NE Alabama here my son is out week of Oct 8-12th.

No Fall Break here in RI, just the 3 day weekend for Columbus Day and the 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving.

No fall break here. Kids go to school the day after Labor Day, have off one day each for Columbus Day and Veteran's Day and then again at Thanksgiving (Thurs & Fri) After that, nothing til Christmas Eve.

. We must go back to school a bit later or something than the schools that have a Fall Break. We usually start 2 days after Labor Day.

My kids start school on August 2. We will have been in school a full 9 weeks when it's time for fall break.

No fall break here in this part of Virginia. The only break they get before Christmas is the day before Thanksgiving, and the day after Thanksgiving.

Another Hoosier here. I think all the Indiana schools are out 25th and 26th of October for fall break. We are taking our granddaughter out of school to take her to WDW that week. They have parent/teacher conferences on 22nd & 23rd so they are 1/2 days and out Thurs and Friday. Can't wait to go in the fall. Here's hoping for cooler weather and smaller crowds!

Here in Henry County, GA (about 20 miles south of Atlanta) we get Sept. 17th-21st. Always the 7th week of school. I know that some other Metro Atlanta counties get that same week and some counties get a week off in Oct.,Not sure when. But not all counties get a fall break. We love our fall break. This will be our 3th Sept at Disney and 2nd on Free Dining.

We start August 7th, and go the full 9 before our fall break too. Then there is Christmas break and Spring Break.

I WISH we had a fall break here in MA!!! We only get Columbus Day off between Labor Day and Thanksgiving weekend I LOVE going in October but our school district is so strict on unexcused absences that it can't be done which is why we're braving the heat/humidity/crowds of August this time

I've never even heard of fall break. My kids start school around August 27. They have 5 days off at Thanksgiving, the week between Christmas and New Year's and 5 days at Easter (Thurs through Monday) and get out around June 5. We've never had spring break.

Fall break is nice, especially for fall trips and fall is my family's favorite season so it works out pretty good. The kids also seem pretty refreshed for the 2nd 9 weeks.

The only downfall to our school schedule is that the kids start school when it is blistering hot (early Aug).

No fall break for us. We get two springtime breaks. It makes more semse to have them farther apart, though.

Another Hoosier....our kids fall break is Oct 25-26. We are taking them out the 23 and 24th also so we can go to Disney. Now, I also have to take them out on the 21st for 1/2 day since Airtran keeps playing with my flight schedule!

Hey we are about 50 miles from each other. My brother lives in Westfield in an addition off Springmill Road.

We are leaving Monday October 22nd, flying Air Tran at 7:00 am. What do you mean they keep playing with your flight schedule? I wanted to leave a day or two earlier but couldn't get a non stop flight, so I don't want to lose it. I hope they don't mess with me

I live off of Springmill too! We are in a subdivision called Countryside! We love it here! Anyway...in regards to your post....I was planning on keeping my kids in school on that Monday all day because our flight did not leave until almost 8pm. Well....now they have moved the flight up to 3:15!!!! So, since we need to be at the airport 2 hours before, I guess I will be pulling them out of school around noon. Oh well, so much for my plan. The good news is that we get to Orlando at 5:30 instead of like 9:30. So, we have another evening at Disney! I think MK has EMH that night, so maybe we will go there. Or just spend time at the resort! What resort are you staying at??

Small World huh? If they keep pulling your flight back you may be on the 7:00 am with us! We have reservations for WL but I'm waiting for discount codes. If there turns out not to be any, we may end up at POR or POFQ, which is fine with me. The week of our fall break is 2 half days, Wed is full then off Thurs and Fri. so I don't feel too badly about taking grandD out of school.
