When Is Enough, Enough?

I have to say that WDW before and after kids is a whole different experience. The 2 trips we took before kids, all we did was the big rides and rollercoasters. Our first trip taking the kids, it was like a whole new park. We discovered a bunch of attractions we never knew existed.
It is amazing how a change of circumstances or a new perspective can renew the magic of WDW.

is still mourning the loss of rides at Disneyland that happened when I was a child, I'd have to say NEVER! I never get tired of the old standbys, they hold the same magic for me that they always have.

Still mourning...Journey to Innerspace(replaced by Star Tours, while it's a favorite I miss the other ride too!), Mr Toad's Wild Ride, the Peoplemover (yay WDW! But disneyland has taken theirs out ), The submarines and so many others.

hmmmm, I know what you mean, but part of the attraction is going back with your kids and re-enjoying rides that you did as a child. I think some should remain timeless. I do think they could spice up that Speedway a bit -- ala Disneyland.

The average WDW customer doesn't see these attractions hundreds of times like some of us do. Just be glad for the extra time you give yourself for relaxing due to skipping some attractions.

I understand what you are saying! To me though - I want the attractions to be the same - I want my kids (when I have them) to experience the same things I have grown to love. I am still mourning the fact that my children will never appreciate Mr. Toad's wild ride in FLA!

I'm another one who doesn't get tired of the same attractions over and over. Our family and friends don't seem to get why we go back year after year, but that's OK. to each his own. We just know how to have fun!!

hershey is a tiny park, nice enough for what it is ( thrill rides, a zoo) and a "How we make chocolate tour" of about 10 mins. length, a nice place for a day or maybe weekend visit but nothing exceptional...there isn't a whole lot of "theme" involved

I agree that sometimes the older rides need to be rennovated (sp.?) but only to update or add to them not to take away from them. Most of the rides at Disney are classics.
My DH and I don't have kids yet. I can't tell you how disappointing it would be to have kids, take them to Disney, and not be able to say, "I used to ride this when I was a kid too!"
I know sometimes people get tired of the same old ride (fortunately I am not one of them!), but you could always go somewhere else like US or SW. Or even go to St. Augustine, if you are in the mood for something different. There is no shortage of things to do. It doesn't even have to be a theme park.
It would be sad to take away classics for most of us just to make a few happy.
