When is a good time in the Spring/Early Summer to go to Disney?

We've been in the Fall & loved it but am thinking May 2013 would be nice time to go too. My biggest concern is the heat...we went in May 1998 & the temps broke records that week. :rotfl2:

Still may go with May as its our daughter's 8th bday but curious as to other times to go. Not sure I want to venture out a school vacation either.

Thanks for the help.

For a resort, we're thinking POR-Riverside.

Late May early June is good. Hubby and I went the first week in October this year, usually moderate temps. This year we saw a het index of 105 and rainstorms daily.

I love early May. Most schools are still in session and it's after spring break but before the everyday afternoon rains of summer. Generally the weather is warm, but we had a couple of days that were quite cool last year.

The earlier you go the bettter, both from a heat and crowd perspective. Last week of April and first week of May should be good and you'd still be able to catch the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot.

Later in May you'll be dealing with higher temps and humidity, and increasing crowds. And don't forget about the crowd bump over the long weekend. OTOH, I think the SWWs start in May.

I think SWW begins right after F&G ends. I agree about late April early May, I just didn't know how they felt about pulling their daughter out of school. We never hesitated to do it but some parents are sticklers. This past October was the first trip during school that our girls felt compelled to skip and they're a sophomore and a Senior this year. Hence my booking the trip in two weeks! :lmao:

We love May, the weather is perfect.. I've also been down in that area last April (around Easter) and it was nice weather. It got a little hot on some days but it was nice. We went mid March the first time and it was rainy but nice during the day. We only swam once because it was not warm enough for us to swim...
