When in doubt, feed the bear....but not that!!!Day 6- Last day blues

sorry to read you were still feeling yucky, hope a rest is in order shortly! What a fun parade...and the twins aren't hard on the eyes either!

Darn Marv beat me to it! Yes, pretty sure the kid was talking about the log on the path going to Camp Minnie/Mickey.

I bought the Candlelight Processional CD the last time I was there. it!

But is Marv Right???? The CP CD is next on my list to get. Having the Jingle Jungle parade one will make next Christmas more fun at home.

If there is something on the Camp Minnie/Mickey trail I don't know about it.

Then you need to go with us dorks. I will be confirming the right answer soon.

Yeah, I tried with a couple of DISers who are in SC and a little closer to Pawleys, and it still didn't work out to meet up. Like you said, it's not real easy to get there. I will definitely let you know if/when we get closer to Charlotte. :thumbsup2

I am glad you had a good time at Pawleys even though after your start and the sunburn I am not so sure how the rest of the week went. Let me know if you ever pass through.

:woohoo: I'm sure it's the same as Whose Line Is It Anyway--the points don't matter.

Well you got that right. :rotfl:

Hmmm, I'm not sure where that log is. Sounds dangerous! No, not the attraction at DHS....I mean it sounds dangerous.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That response deserves the dork award for sure. I mean you may not know where the log is but how many people know about sounds dangerous? :lmao:

More great photo pass pictures with tree and Stitch.

I knew where the log was but got here to late. Danielle stuck her hand in it on her first trip.

So many pretty Christmas decorations. What a sight to see.

I really wanted to get Simba but I had some trouble.

More about the log in a bit.

Christmas time in the World is always so magical.

sorry to read you were still feeling yucky, hope a rest is in order shortly! What a fun parade...and the twins aren't hard on the eyes either!

Those peas did it and I didn't have the right medicine with me to try and fight it. Now I have everything and more packed in one place and as long as I grab it when I leave I should be good.

Disney does a great job with thier parades and makes sure there is something for everyone to watch. ;)

*****************************************************

Thank you for putting your 2 cents in about that log. After I heard the CMs discussing that and neither one knew I looked at them and said
" Do you do want some help with the answer?"

They both said yes so I told them the log is on the path as you walk towards Camp Minnie Mickey. You indeed stick your hand in and feel different things. We used to call that a sensory log.

Good job to Marv, Michelle, and Vanessa !!! :thumbsup2

It really kinda struck me as odd that NEITHER of them knew where it was. :lmao:

Yes we are all on the NICE list
Hmmm, still struggling with that right vs. left thingy are we???? :confused3 :sad2:

But I do some shopping first. Marv had texted me and asked if I could find a 2011/2012 New Year pin for him. Probably one of the first days I bought mine and had both in my hand but ultimately only bought one not wanting to seem greedy. But now I was looking everywhere I could for them. AK was out too. :sad2:
I know I have given you a hard time about it, but I really DO appreciate the effort you put out trying to find me a pin!!!:flower3:

She takes me to a cabinet to look then another CM comes up and says she was stumped by a child.

The child asked
“Where do you go to stick your hand in a log?”
Okay DIS DORKS Take your guesses.
Funny when the Disney Dorks know more than the CMs......:rotfl:

I thought these were neat. Have not seen those before.

Something you're not telling us Pat???? :rolleyes1 Inquiring minds want to know...... :scratchin

I was trying to get a Simba shot. Out by the tree the PP only had stitch so I posed.

These are really cool!!! Love your expression in this one.....

The beautiful lobby at Kidani.

IMG_3937.jpg
Okay, now I'm homesick! :guilty:

Either feeding time or Disney is removing the “bad” guests. LOL

IMG_3939.jpg
So you are saying the bad guests become the next meal for the animals??? :confused3 That's a little harsh isn't it???

Yeah, I tried with a couple of DISers who are in SC and a little closer to Pawleys, and it still didn't work out to meet up. Like you said, it's not real easy to get there. I will definitely let you know if/when we get closer to Charlotte. :thumbsup2
Charlotte is actually closer to Pawleys Island than I am.......
:woohoo: I'm sure it's the same as Whose Line Is It Anyway--the points don't matter.
Pretty much. :rotfl2:

I wood not have known where the log was either ,now I have to look for it in October !!! Marv is definately on the Naughty list and the TRUCK!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I wasn't going to post since you ignored my last comment about the parade. :sad:princess:

Seriously, love the photos of you in front of the tree. And you've now added something else to my souvenir list...the bride and groom pins.

Great photos of Kidani...I really do love that place.

Hmmm, still struggling with that right vs. left thingy are we???? :confused3 :sad2:

Yeah I do see where you mentioned right while I was making sure you did not specify Naughty. :lmao: Now you know right is relative to your position and teaching for many years in front of my students who have no idea of what right and left is sometimes leaves me a bit.... confused. :lmao: Always look to where I am pointing and not what direction I am saying.. :rotfl2:

I know I have given you a hard time about it, but I really DO appreciate the effort you put out trying to find me a pin!!!:flower3:

I looked ... I really looked. I had fun looking but being that I found it so easy when I first looked I found it so hard to believe that they were all gone.

Darn it I had it in my hand.... Way before you even asked about it. :sad2:

Funny when the Disney Dorks know more than the CMs......:rotfl:

I was wondering if they were kidding me. I mean the first one seemed pretty new but 2 and neither knew? I was a bit shocked.

Something you're not telling us Pat???? :rolleyes1 Inquiring minds want to know...... :scratchin

:rotfl2::rotfl2: :rolleyes1

These are really cool!!! Love your expression in this one.....

Not liking the multiple chins but those are always fun to do. :rotfl:

Okay, now I'm homesick! :guilty:

You need a trip then...

So you are saying the bad guests become the next meal for the animals??? :confused3 That's a little harsh isn't it???

Now you know what happens to those guest not having a good enough time.

Charlotte is actually closer to Pawleys Island than I am.......

Yes but you have highway and I have back roads.

Pretty much. :rotfl2:

Exactly!!! :rotfl2:

Great parade pictures, Pat. I really need to make of seeing the AK parade either next month or in December.

So sorry I missed this one Kathy. :guilty: :flower3:

Lately I have had the replies up for a long time since I am watching the Olympics or doing other things and I guess it was sort of a ninja post and close to the bottom of the page I just didn't scroll back after my replies posted.

I was really glad I made the trip over to see it. If you see the parade both times You will get a different one each time. :thumbsup2

I wasn't going to post since you ignored my last comment about the parade. :sad:princess:

Sorry Kathy. :flower3: Please don't think I ignored you. :guilty:

Seriously, love the photos of you in front of the tree. And you've now added something else to my souvenir list...the bride and groom pins.

I really need to make sure I take advantage of the "magic" shots more. Those are fun and really the unique part of the PP.

I knew someone would have a use for the bride and groom pins. :cool1:
I had seen the ears, the shirt but the pins are really neat.

Great photos of Kidani...I really do love that place.

I really need a do over at AKL- either Jambo or Kidani. Just not enough time to fully explore. I did love what I saw though.

No worries...I was just teasing you. :)

I bought the kids the ears in Apeil which they are wearing at the Rehearsal Dinner; I also got Alisha the t-shirt.

Great pictures of you in AK!! :thumbsup2

I love seeing the decorations, just wish you had been feeling better on the last part of your trip. I'm glad you have the meds down now so you know how to handle not feeling this bad in the future. :goodvibes

Maybe when we go to the F&WF we can both stay at the AKL? :confused3

I am glad you had a good time at Pawleys even though after your start and the sunburn I am not so sure how the rest of the week went. Let me know if you ever pass through.

You'll just have to keep reading! Someday my family will have to tour the deep south (got to get our states!).

Charlotte is actually closer to Pawleys Island than I am.......

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that, but I didn't do any measuring either. Plus you mentioned you had a place to stay in the area.

I swear I replied yesterday but apparently not! Glad you got to see the parade but very sad you were still feeling yucky, that's no fun. AKL is amazing, you'll just need to go back! I have to say, a ticket free trip really goes allow you to explore the resorts in a different way, magical in its own right.

Hi I'm new here just started reading your report yesterday and i'm loving it,but I took a break to post this .....

ok now back to reading your report :)

No worries...I was just teasing you. :)

I bought the kids the ears in April which they are wearing at the Rehearsal Dinner; I also got Alisha the t-shirt.

So cute. I thought the pins were nice yet not so in your face.

Great pictures of you in AK!! :thumbsup2

i do think I have it down. Just have to keep all the meds near by or at least in the same state as I am in. :rotfl: Sometimes I just need to rest to let my body keep fighting since it won't stop.

Food and Wine - You want to be at BCV. :thumbsup2

You'll just have to keep reading! Someday my family will have to tour the deep south (got to get our states!).

Look forward to it.

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that, but I didn't do any measuring either. Plus you mentioned you had a place to stay in the area.

OKay I actually measured. About 80 miles but about an hour difference and the shorter distance is from my house to Pawleys Island. I am right near the border of NC/SC and in the center of the state.

You did ,the top of the page. I look forward to hearing all about your exploring. I really just need to do a resort trip and not hit the parks but I don't think I can be that close and not go in. :lmao:

ok now back to reading your report :)

I Love it. That is right what I was thinking those 2 were saying.

I picked a hall at Kidani and just started walking.

Pick a Mickey any Mickey.

IMG_3942.jpg

Stopped to see the bathroom – Are you really surprised???

It . IS. MASSIVE

IMG_3946.jpg

IMG_3947.jpg

I begin to walk down the hall.

IMG_3948.jpg

IMG_3948.jpg

IMG_3950.jpg

I spy a room service tray.

IMG_3951.jpg

What else do I see?

IMG_3956.jpg

IMG_3957.jpg

Someone left their zebra domes!!!!

I did think about it but did NOT rescue them from the tray. :rotfl:

As you walk the hallway the walls are broken up by windows. The windows are frosted so light comes in but you can’t really see what is outside. But if you stop you CAN peek.

IMG_3958.jpg

IMG_3959.jpg

Hmmm parking lot. Good use of translucent windows.

Love all the quotes on the walls.

IMG_3961.jpg

I was originally looking for the end of the hallway that had a quote about the wrong direction or another path because it does NOT connect to Jambo. I think Glenn found that one.

But I was wearing even further down and could not continue the quest. I wandered back to the lobby area. I could not even walk back to Jambo so I hopped the first bus and got off at Jambo, the next stop.
While I wait.

IMG_3962.jpg

IMG_3963.jpg

Back at Jambo

IMG_3964.jpg

From the room maybe??

IMG_3965.jpg

I started to pack up a bit. But I had a couple of more missions.

At least there weren't any feet in the bathroom this time! But I see that someone left the water running.

That proverb you were looking for is on the third or fourth floor, I can't remember which.

Before Rosie gets here...........................

4 Pat's!!! ;)

Imagine that! Trashcans and restrooms in a Poolrat Pat TR........ :rotfl:

Zebra Domes!!! Discarded???? Seriously!!!!! :faint:

Now I'm feeling guilty I never had a zebra dome. I feel tired just reading about your walk knowing how you were feeling.

I swear I replied yesterday but apparently not!

I thought I commented on the Stitch 'surprised' picture, too. Maybe, maybe not. Not sure where some of these posts fly away to.

Stopped to see the bathroom – Are you really surprised???

Not one bit.

Pretty! My cheapo version of an AKL bathroom at my house pales in comparison. Big time.

Someone left their zebra domes!!!!

This is not good at all.

The Christmas decorations are so pretty! I am going to miss seeing Disney Christmas decorations this year.
