I have to admit that I would be "leaving" the Zebra Dome too. I don't see the big deal about them or the Dole Whip, I am afraid.

I was dragging for sure. Zebra domes are worth a try. I think they are yummy.

The Christmas decorations are so pretty! I am going to miss seeing Disney Christmas decorations this year.

For me those are those details that make me love Disney. I mean it is just a trash can and a bathroom- they could very easily all look the same. But they don't and like making note of those differences.

Kidding, I know not everyone loves them. I have heard they get mushy pretty quick so I like them from Mara straight from the refrigerated case.

That is exactly what I thought. I would have at least stuck them in the fridge for later. I would hope someone in that crowd would have liked them.

Last full day. Dragging from not feeling great but I still had a couple of missions.


Mission #1 I wanted to get a good nighttime shot of Everest.
Mission #2 I wanted a sunset shot.
Mission #3 I wanted to get a shot of me holding Simba.

It was getting cold out. I headed to the busstop.

I am only going to AK so it should be quick right???

I wait , and wait, and wait. It was getting windy and people were huddled next to the building to keep themselves out of the wind. The news had a freeze warning issued. That how cold it was going to get
20 mins later!!!!!!

Good Grief. I surmised the whole route should only take 20 min.

I literally arrive at AK 3 minutes later.

Now earlier I had tried to get a Simba pose.
#1- by the tree- She could not do Simba because she had a tripod
#2 – the camera was broken and they could not do one.
When I arrived back at AK
#3- after 5pm no Simba.

Now I am literally rushing to get one last ride on EE. I knew I could stroll out of the park later.

Sunset was long gone so that will have to wait for another time.

I snap this on the way – I know I could not resist.

Then I noticed the water and the reflection. I was not head on but I tried.

I finally HAD to get to EE. But that last shot was still bugging me.

Somehow in my sick and weak state I was convinced this was a hidden Mickey.

My ride

As I am walking out of a now closed AK at 7pm I realize I can get another angle of EE. I walk out and walk behind Flame Tree to the eating area. I can hear the AK music playing in the back ground. It is quiet and still.
Suddenly mixed in with the wonderful African drums I hear the music to ToT.


Yup that's right the twighlight Zone theme. It sort of yanks me back to reality because it does not fit.

It is then I realize it is my phone.

Let me explain. I have the high School phone number set up so the ring tone is twilight zone, even better the ToT picture comes up as well. You see I have a love hate relationship with the school. While I actually love the school most of the time, I really hate the auto call system. They will call over the stupidest things. The auto call should only be used for an emergency, not a sole form of communication.

Now this time they were calling me at 7pm to tell me my son was absent. Yup knew that

Back to my task. I turn back on my camera – Now my battery light is blinking…..

I was able to take several shots but one of the last ones…

I was pretty happy with that.

I slowly walk out and hop back on a bus. Knowing it has to do the route I time it. 15 minutes until I am standing back at Jambo. Even if there was one bus, how on earth did I wait 20 minutes to get there?

Back at the room I change out the battery and do my final mission –

What great pictures at AK at night. We have yet to get there at night (and I don't see it happening in December, so maybe we'll change some things around in September). EE looks so cool all lit up (too bad I won't ride it anymore ).

As much as I couldn't believe someone just left their zebra domes out in the hall, I did not "rescue " them.
But that is what reminded me to make sure I went down to Mara to rescue fresh ones.
