Yeah Marv still holds a grudge but I am hoping he will get over it.

I get to Quarantine my AP. I will be sure to report if it worked.

By 9:30am I heading into

Then I hit the HM

Someday I can time this right.

Realizing I needed to ride Dumbo to check on the Fantasyland Construction. So much progress has been made. I got in line and 8 cycles later.

It was hotter here than in FL so in a way I did beat the heat.

I actually spent lots of time in the pool and midday naps.

The drive was actually very relaxing. Seemed like a quick trip, time really flew. Only a couple of crazy moments.

Glad you were able to avoid all the typical I-95 hassles on your trip! About the only way I can think of that trip being relaxing is if I had a chauffeur doing the driving for me!!!

I’ve been on those July 4th trips before! Definitely a great time for mid-day breaks to relax and refresh! If you managed to beat the heat, you were doing really great with your touring..........or lack of touring!

So I left you in the AKV room , in a snit with a surly teenager and feeling worn out and crappy.

I had gotten a text. Seems like Marv (Marvali) and 2 of his boys, Jonathan and Matthew were in town for the bowl game. Quick trip and no park time for him, only the game.

I had word they were eating in DTD and we hoped to catch up and meet afterwards. From what I remember, They were done eating and in DTD shortly after I got back to the room.

So I was, as I said, in the room, in a snit with a surly teenager and feeling worn out and crappy. We texted back and forth a bit and I tried to gather some energy to try and head back out but they way busses were treating me and the way I felt, there was no way.

I can't believe you had the chance to do a DISmeet with Marv and didn't take total advantage of it.............

I totally understand and I hate you were feeling so totally run down and crummy! I knew from talking to you that you really wanted to try and make it out. As much as it pains me to say, it definitely sounds like you made the right decision, especially if the Queen of Late Night Disney touring felt the need to crash so early that evening!

I would have been terrible company. Congested, coughing and cranky would not have been the way to meet a friend.

We were both disappointed but there was no way I could make it out there. Even trying to take Chris would have a strain enough and I would never subject Marv and his boys to my surly teenager at that moment.

Don’t know about the terrible company part! I’m sure we would have ended up making the best of it! It was much more disappointing for me coming on the heels of the changed menu at House of Blues and missing out on the VooDoo shrimp Jonathan and I were so looking forward to when I booked the ADR.

And now the new Dumbos are up and running. The queue is great for kids, too.

One day before my AP expired, my Donald card was chewed up by the turnstile machine. It sucked it in, but didn't spit it back out. They had to take the top off of the machine to rescue it. The card I got for my last two days was Pluto. Not sure if I will get another AP in October or just wait until March. I'm pretty sure it will be best to wait and just pay for a regular ticket in October. I can get a spring, summer, Christmas, and possibly part/all of another spring trip, depending on how the break falls in 2014.

We enjoy the dance parties over in Tomorrowland. It's neat to see the characters in some different outfits, and the girls love to dance, of course.

Thanks for the pictures. One of these days, our Fantasyland pictures will not include scaffolds, bulldozers, and cranes, and it will be a fabulous place!

Not too many crazy people out on the road. I did see quite a back up on I-95 going north and Hoped Glennbo was not stuck in that traffic.

I am sorry again. From what I remember ( it has been 7 months) The congestion was I my chest and my voice was raspy along with probably a migrane headache or so. Add in the surly teeneager making it worse and the late nights and reduced sleep I was getting and I was probably pretty crabby. It was the right decision. I am sure our paths will cross again either in the World or in the Carolinas. I think you need to be passing by soon right?
