When in doubt, feed the bear....but not that!!!Day 6- Last day blues

Not a whole lot I can stomach at McDonald’s on a regular basis, unless it is an Egg McMuffin at breakfast, and even then I’ve been known not to finish it.........

McDonalds I am finding is my comfort food. When I am stressed, allergy or otherwise it is too quick and easy to get. :sad2:
Yeah Today - McDonalds for lunch....

I like a good Egg McMuffin, best bang for you buck nutrition wise but sometimes I have a hard time finishing one too. Hmmmm :scratchin:

Nuts huh? And yet you continue to hang out around here............ :lmao:

Sometimes you feel like a nut....

I know you had a great time. Personally, I probably would be hard pressed to recognize Phelps and Lochte if they were standing right beside me!!!

Certain places on that deck you could literally reach out and touch them. However most times they can be difficult to recognize with clothes on.
I got a wink from Ryan this year. ;)

Don’t know if the most surprising part of that is that the Official is still living..........or that their memory is that good!!! :rolleyes1

He had a great memory and I was shocked at what he remembered. He was almost psychic.

Always good when you get to spend your time doing something you love!!! :goodvibes
Always worth it!!!!

Uh oh! This is twice you have mentioned this now. I hope you didn’t end up missing out on something really important!!! But then knowing you, it probably had something to do with a return trip to see your Tumble Monkey again!!!

Oh I missed something fabulous I am sure. :rolleyes1 Something I will always regret. :headache: Hopefully soemthig I can have a do over on. :flower3:

Oh I love CSR! It looks so nice all decked out for the Holidays :santa:. I can't believe the Pepper Market was closed, why? When we were there last year it was open for lunch since the Maya Grill was closed for lunch. I don't blame you guys for being upset, I get cranky when I'm hungry too.

They were running a special buffet that week. I was disappointed that we missed it and especially when we were so hungry.

As far as the peas in your fettucini... I'm as surprise as you are. I like pasta with peas and ham but not in fettucini! I hope it didn't affect you too bad. :headache:
Yeah I was surprised.... and the result was not good. :sad2:

ok that's just wierd, there is a dish with peas and proscuitto in a cream sauce (can't for the life of me think of what it's called as I really do NOT like peas...they pop...I have texture issues lol). I am really worried about how that impacted your trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh the popping - that used to get me too. I totally understand the texture issues. :lmao:
It was not pretty. Not an emergency just not pretty.

What a total nightmare at Pepper Market! I think all things considered you guys handled it amazingly well, Jeff would have been livid!!!
At that point there were no words. Too hungry to scream, to complain much and well that was minor compared to the next night. :scared1:

LOVE the pic of you and Anita on EE!

That was so much fun. :goodvibes

Found this clip on my daily Amusment today blurbs.
The title got me interested. The clip almost made me  and I like thrill rides.

http://guyism.com/humor/worlds-scariest-ride-top-spin.html

From the article
Looking for a way to crap your pants in public AND have unceasing fantasies of being destroyed by a robot? Look no further than Finland’s “Top Spin,” the most terrifying and creative amusement park ride we’ve ever seen.

Obviously this ride is in another region of the world but the music here certainly added to the terror for me. Nothing strikes fear into the heart of men like 80s arena rock in a foreign language. -Chris Spags

No, we haven't started back on swim yet. I need to email her. I know she was busy this weekend :).
That ride is crazy!!!!!

Just caught up on your tr. I also have to tell you that I now think of you at least once a day because I live in Omaha, NE and I am sure you know what event is happening here in late June beginning of July, but for those of you who don't know the US Olympic Swim trials are being held here again. Every time with out fail when they advertise it I think of you and Michael Phelps.

That alfredo looks so delish but I have no idea how you had the patience to get all those peas out of there.

And that amusement park ride.........:faint: :faint: :faint: NEVER!

While I am sorry that you had trouble finding WPE on your ap and that you had a little accident, I'm glad you finally got your food. Peas? Peas? Who the heck puts peas on their chicken fettucine.

Love the photos with the Christmas decorations.

I had some catching up to do!! Oh my gosh I would have had more than a snit if I got to the resort & NO FOOD!!

We love WPE!! It is odd though that they put peas in chicken alfredo:confused3.

I am also allergic to peanuts, soy, ham, grass, mold & every kind of tree. So with everything blooming this time of year it is not fun. My reaction is more head allergies & the food gives me sores in my mouth. So I can relate.

Watch out for those planters!!;)

This time of year is insane for all pool people. :scared:

Oh yes if you are so inclined and can swing see if there some volunteer opportunities. It s a great way to see the meet and catch a glimpse of those guys - I mean swimmers. ;)

I actually have a cople of former staff members- Ricky Berens( 100 & 200 Free) , Matt Patton ( 400Free) and a the kid who I had from age 3 until 11. Made his first Olympic triall cut Kevin Glenn- watch him he wll be back in 2016

I am a pretty good picker I dont think I actually ate any of them. :lmao:
But I can tell they were not just put on top ubut rather cooked with the noodles. Because of the result.

That ride made me

I could not believe when the dish came out with peas. :faint: Too hungry to send it back.

CSR does Christmas nice!!!

Ah yes you get it!!! I have gone almost 40 years without even realiizing I even had them . I feel so much better when they are under control and really crappy when I they get me.

As the midnight hour approaches...

We were back on a bus heading towards the Poly but I wanted to be sure to tour all three monorail resorts.

But I finally had an idea… on our last night in SSR. Isn’t that the way?
Since we were the first stop, take any bus to Congress Park and then walk over using the official path

IMG_3196.jpg

Since we were going to the monorail resorts, we could pick either the Poly/GF bus or the CR bus.

This one came first.

IMG_3197.jpg

Not sure if Chris hopped the monorail to the Poly or stayed with me. He was not too interested in seeing the Christmas decorations at the different resorts.

Now I moved from garbage cans to mats outside the resorts.

Right in the lobby by check in.

These caught my eye.

I like the necklace to those earrings too. I think Jackie may have this set?
Another pattern

The CR “tree” and gingerbread house.

Some of Mary Blair’s “people”. Sorry they are blurry, maybe they were dancing, or maybe I was ... :rotfl:

I know while I was looking at the display, I noticed pins. The CM in her best cross marketing voice told me they were limited edition pins and only XXX were made. I can't remeber how many she said.

So of course I HAD to have one.

With Browsing and purchasing done, I made my way up to the monorail to hop over to the GF.

Getting closer. Next up the GF.

Yeah!!! I have never seen the Christmas decorations at CR. I know many people don't love it there, but it is like my disney home since that is where we stayed every year when I was growing up. Now Chloe is growing up there too but at BLT :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tour :)

I do have the matching necklace. Those earrings are super cute!

I love the CR gingerbread tree and the pin is great! I would have had to buy one, too!

I love the light up Mickey head at the Contemporary. I thought that was soooooo cool!

Hard to believe its almost June because my Christmas trip seems like it was just yesterday. Love the gingerbread tree! My pic of that turned out blurry too.

I had so many pins ans yet I know I forgot one. :worried:

love that pin!

Had to get it. Now I still need to get a shadow box for all the holiday pins. :lmao:

In some ways that trip seemed like yesterday and in some ways like a lifetime ago.... So much has happened for me in the last 5 months. So busy and so ready to go back.

I missed this the first time. I don't guess I ever knew CR was your first stay. Of course you would have a special place in your heart for your first Disney resort. We have a special feeling for Pop for the same reason.

Love seeing all the Christmas decorations at the different resorts.

That pin is so cute!!
