what memory comes to mind? :)

For me I remember shortly after the twins were born and DH and I were not connecting. Too much on our plates, too stressed out, who knows. Anyways, he arranged for care of all the kids and took me out to Disneyland for the evening. Just the two of us. We walked, and talked and felt connected again. Then it started to drizzle a bit and we got some hot chocolate to share and just sat there watching the people, the lights, enjoying each others company and sharing our hot chocolate. It was simple but sweet. :cloud9:

My kids would probably say that they think of sledding because they always get hot chocolate when they come in from sledding. :teeth:

I remember, when I was very young, my mom took me with her when she visited her Mary Kay lady's holiday open house...my mom bought me my first "lipstick" (I think it was actually some kind of flavored gloss...). Then we went home and put on all of our new make-up together while we had hot chocolate and listened to The Nutcracker.

I remember thinking how beautiful my mom looked and how loved I felt!

Making it for my nieces at Christmastime...I just use the packages but they love my hot choc. Maybe it's the LOVE I put into it! :goodvibes

I think of just last semester while I was abroad...I'd have "drinking choclate" every night after dinner when we'd all be just sitting around and laughing instead of doing our work...such is the life of a college student ;)

I remember when I was kid going ice-skating on the river and then climbing up this enormous hill to get to the "warming" house where my friends and I would drink hot chocolate and giggle over the cute high school boys that worked there!

:thumbsup2
The Halloween tradition is Hot Cocoa w/ Peppermint Schnapps :drinking1 (for the adults) when me and my best friend take the kids out trick-or-treating. We loop the block, stop in for a refill, loop the other side, stop in etc....While the hubbys stay home and hand out the goodies.

I am the official Hot Cocoa Queen for the High School :cheer2: Booster Club as I seem to be the only one who can serve it non-stop on a :cold: Friday night at the Football games and never run out.
My trick: :stir: I have 5 of the large orange Gatorade jugs full of boiling water prior to opening kick off! Then keep boiling water all night long. When I get home I must shower immediately or my :cat: with the sweet tooth will spend all night trying to  me

Sitting with my back against the radiator after just coming in from sled riding and holding a cup of hot chocolate. I never really liked it, but it kept my hands warm!

When me & 2 friends were 16 we rented a flat at the seaside for a week and every evening we would take it in turns to make hot chocolate & toast for everyone :goodvibes

I was about ten or eleven years old and there was this blizzard heading in our direction. Before it had started snowing, my brother and i took a load of laundry over to the laundry mat. By the time we had finished, it had started coming down. When we got home, my dad had a pot of hot cocoa made with milk on the stove just waiting for us.
Now whenever it's really cold, I make my kids hot cocoa with milk. It's gotten to be a tradition.

Well, I used to think of the kids & I making a snowman and shoveling the snow, but as of last week, I think of watching Spectromagic !! :thumbsup2

Umm, ds just got out of the hospital, in there for 3 days. The cafe in the hospital made the BEST hot chocolate with whipped cream... had a number of them in the past few days. Guess that will be what i'll remember for awhile when the word hot chocolate is mentioned.

Going to Ghiradelli Chocolate after our first cruise on the Disney Magic. We had hours to kill and went to DTD. It was cold and rainy out, so Ghiradelli was a wonderful refuge before heading to MCO. My family was very different then, but it's still a good memory.

Hot Chocolate.. they sang that song "I believe in miracles"... :teeth:

As far as the drink, strangely I just thought of when I was in the fifth grade and I was a safety patrol at my school. If it got cold (which, here in Fl was about 40) our safety patrol teacher rep would make us all some hot chocolate with marshmallows. It was such a treat! Wow, haven't even thought about that in years!

Drinking hot chocolate with lots of marshmallow creme in it with my grandma......I'd give just about anything to do that one more time.

My 2 year old nephew's face when he sings:

Hot, Hot Chocolate.. We Got It..

From Polar Express...

It just warms my heart!

When I was little coming in from playing in the snow. We would get hot chocolate and sit in a chair and put our frozen feet on the raditor and just sit back and get warm from the inside out.
