When family or close friends don't like DL anymore....

My DW is not a Disney fan. She will occasionally go. Once very ten years. I was fortunate that I have 3 children that are all fans. Took several trips with them while they were growing up in various combinations. The last trip that I had with all three was 2010. They are all adult age know and married with families of their own. My solution was to take solo trips. I've been many times solo the last being March. I have another trip planned for September.

My oldest DD just took her family for their first trip. It took every ounce of restraint that I had not to go with them. I actually enjoy going solo.

My DH only liked Disney when our girls were little. I found a friend through this board who lives in the same NorCal town as I and we started going together. Between us, we found several other friends who come from different places and we all meet up for Dapper Day etc. We've had some wonderful times doing events & visiting Disney related sites and meeting interesting Disney folks.

I still love to go with my daughters, but they don't have the flexibility to go as often as I like to so I've been very glad to have my little Disney friend family. Hopefully you will find Disney friends. Going solo can be great but it's also nice to have someone to share the fun (and cost!) when you go.

I hear ya, OP. My four adult kids aren’t interested to going to DLR or WDW with my hubby and I any longer. But, it hasn’t stopped our fun times together as a couple and with friends. I live locally to DLR, frequent the park alone and have trips with other Disney loving friends.

You’ll find a new Disney groove and there are plenty of adventures outside the Disney bubble as well!

I like your ideas. I guess it all depends when they're available. We could have been camping with them in Idaho last week, but to take our truck and trailer there would have cost over $1,000. 😭
Ugh yeah it's so much to go driving now. Like a month and a half ago my in-laws cancelled their RV trip (they have a 5th wheel) because it was just too much, hauling a 5th wheel with an F350 was just going to cost a fortune. Wasn't worth it to them. At least you tried! Darn gas and diesel prices

DH and I started going to Disneyland regularly when we lived in LA. In the beginning we both loved it equally, but over time he wanted to do other things. I can literally never get enough of Disneyland. We have only gone 3 times since we moved out of state. I'd go every year if we could afford it. I did do a trip to Star Wars nite with just dd this year. We all went last week and the kids already want to go back. I'll have at least one Disney trip partner in dd for a good number of years, but DH would probably be content never to go again.
