I was discussing my meet and greet with Elsa and Anna this weekend, and mentioned that due to wearing all blue, Elsa asked if I also had ice powers. It was a fun and cute interaction.

However, this brought up a topic of conversation. Surely at some point, someone must have come to meet Elsa in an Elsa costume. Has anyone ever seen it happen? How does Elsa react? It seems like it would be a really fun moment to witness!

Seriously though, I'd love to hear stories. :)

Ooooo I want to know this too my DD is wearing an Elsa costume the day of our FP+

My two daughters went to meet A&E after they went to BBB. My oldest was in an Elsa dress and was hoping Elsa would say something about it, but she didn't. My oldest had a crown on but my youngest didn't, so Elsa pointed that out and asked if it was my youngest's coronation day.

My Daughter wore her elsa dress. Elsa asked her if her favorite color was blue too and anna said that she looked just like her sister :-)

Ohh boo. That stinks that she didn't, but I guess sometimes that's just not the way the conversation is going.

That is a super cute story!

My DD is now 17, so won't be meeting Elsa at all, dressed similarly or not.

But when she was 9, she did meet Jasmine while wearing a Jasmine costume after visiting BBB. It's one of my fondest WDW memories. She was feeling a little awkward dressing up; wouldn't have been any other princess at that time other than Jasmine. (The crop top and pants were way more acceptable than a dress with a full skirt!!)

As DD approached Jasmine in Adventureland, Jasmine exclaimed, "Girl, have you been in my closet? I've been looking for that outfit!" It was the PERFECT thing to say!! They proceeded to have a brief conversation, girl-to-girl, that was the perfect magic for my girl! It was truly wonderful. ::yes::

I am going to WDW and my 4 year old is going to be Elsa (though I adore the Anna coronation gown) while the 20 month old got her Anna costume in today. I can't wait!

A ton of little girls go meet Elsa while in the costume, so they may not say something to each of them. You might be able to prod the conversation a little though :) My girls were so overwhelmed when they met them they were speechless lol. So both the characters kind of looked to us to help steer the conversation, which led to a very cute interaction about Olaf playing hide and seek and the "portraits" on their dresses of the characters. Sometimes you have to help make the magic ;)

NOt quite the same thing, but when my daughter Elsa (yes, her actual birth name) met Queen Elsa they had a good giggle about having the same name. Then they did a group hug (my neice was with Elsa too) and Queen Elsa made a joke about it being an Elsa sandwich, my niece was the filling. My Elsa still loves that joke and I'm sure it will stick with her! It made for a great picture, too!

My DGrD met Elsa at MNSSHP on her 11th bday in sept. She had helped me make her Elsa costume and even wore the Elsa wig with it. Elsa was very sweet admiring her gown and had her pose with her back to back with their hands up in "icing" position. It s one of her fav pics and I had a Xmas ornament made for her with it on it. Anna also made a fuss and posed as "sisters". Put that pic on the back side of the ornament.
I soaked it all in - pretty sure that's my last princess dress for this grandDprincess: it was only cool because it was Halloween ;)

The characters noting the similar dresses can mean so much to them! My DD's favorite princess is Snow White (Elsa is now a very close second) and she wore a Snow White dress to our breakfast at Akershus. Snow White made a fuss about them being dressed alike and it made DD's week. At one point in the meal, Ariel accidentally bumped into DD and said "Sorrry, Snow". DD still talks about the experience on a regular basis. She was so touched and proud!

Last February, DD6 met A&E after a long wait in the infamous Norway line. No Elsa dresses available, so DD made her own by attaching a hand drawn picture of Elsa to the front of another blue gown. A&E both told DD how much they loved the dress, and made DD's day in the process.

I was disappointed. My DD Anna and her sister met Anna and Elsa. They also have a cousin named Elsa who lives in Alaska. Neither similar name evoked a reaction from the princesses. They did have great interaction comparing our cat to Olaf.

Surely with all of the Anna and Elsa dresses they see every day they don't comment as much as perhaps Snow White would.
