When does YOMD End?

Does anyone know when the Year of a Million Dreams is officially ended? I thought I heard it was November, but now I'm not sure.

According to Disney site, contest runs thru the end of the year.


The 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway (the "Giveaway") provides participants with the chance to win prizes starting on January 1, 2008 and ending on December 31, 2008 (the "Giveaway Period"). Each person who participates and/or is awarded a prize in the Giveaway fully and unconditionally agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Magic Kingdom Productions, Inc. ("Sponsor") and Creata (USA) Inc. ("Creata"), the administering agency for the Giveaway, which shall be final, binding and conclusive in all matters relating to this Giveaway.

The next thing is something along the lines of "What will you celebrate?" It is all about encouraging people to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, family reunions, etc. at Disney properties. Supposedly the Miley Cyrus Sweet 16 party is the first big event of the new promotion.

It seems like kind of a lame promotion to me given how many people (myself and my family included) already celebrate these major milestones at Disney parks. We leave tomorrow for DS's 1st birthday celebration at DLR and we have celebrated both our honeymoon and our 1st wedding anniversary at WDW and DLR respectively.

But, after all of the drama that YOAMD (X2) has caused, a somewhat more mellow theme may be in order!

YOAMD does, in fact, end on December 31st. Next year begins either Celebration or Celebrate. The Dream Team told us and I can't remember which. They were really sorry YOAMD was ending because being on the Dream Team was a dream job.
