When does the next Amazing Race start?

Not looking foward to this season. This is the family season, and it looks like they don't get out of North America much, if at all.

But, the same day the new season starts, Season 1 is released on DVD.

Also can not wait! It should be an interesting twist having families competing this season. There's an 8 yo and a 9 yo in the mix -- I wonder how they will do?

I am excited about the family aspect of it. I don't mind that it is only North America. Drove 8000 miles through the USA this past summer & didn't see half of it. This is a great continent with plenty of things to see & do!

I've only seen one promo for it so far and that was when I was watching Big Brother one day last week...which I don't watch very often. I couldn't tell much about it, but I'm addicted to the show, so I know I'll watch. My husband thinks we should enter. I'm not sure I want the world to watch us argue.

I'll be in WDW that week and we don't have TIVO! I didn't realize how much TV we watch until I started thinking about all the shows that we need to tape that week:
Rome
Desperate Housewives'
CSI
Survivor
Amazing Race
Prison Break (hoping it gets better)
Reunion(hoping it gets better)
Have I forgotten anything?

One of the teams (the older man with the three sons-in-law) is local and our paper ran an article on them when the first announcements were made. I hope they do a lot of follow-up articles on them.

By the way, for all you Makeover Story fans, the daughters of that dad (and wives of two of the SILs) were on an episode of M.S. - they were the twins that wanted to look different. Same family - two shows!

I was originally thinking about that too -- and the potential whining. . . . . and then I remembered Flo! I'm not sure that even a kid can top that!!!

I think that having the kids involved may put an interesting twist on the tasks selected for the detours and roadblocks.

One of my favorite things about The Amazing Race is seeing cities and beautiful sights from around the globe. Its great seeing the sights of such countries like Iceland and Thailand. But its also fascinating when the teams go through a country or a city that is less fortunate and ahve to deal with the obstacles there. We're not really going to get that this year since the Race will stay primarily (if not entirely) within North America. Oooh.... Niagara Falls, how exotic!
