When does the Mickey Monitor start when purchasing an AP?

An interesting question came up while i was reading the thread about AP nights in March.

One poster mentioned that they had purchased their AP vouchers but had not yet activated them and that she was not recieving the Mickey Monitor yet.

Are you supposed to get the MM when you purchase the vouchers or are you not elegable to get this mailed to you until you activate those vouchers?

You need to exchange the voucher for an active pass before you can get on the list to receive the MM. Until you activate the pass, Disney doesn't have your name and address in the AP database.

The MM is usually posted online well before I get my snail mail copy. You can usually count on www.themeparks.com to have it very soon after people first start reporting that they have received the latest issue. Here's a link to the 2003 February issue:

I bought my AP at the airport Disney Store in October and have yet to receive a Mickey Monitor. I seem to recall that it was sporadic the last time I had an AP, too. I almost always used the online version at themeparks.com

I received the February issue a week or two ago. It comes out in February, May, August, November.

We have four APs and we never received the MM until I called to request one.
