When does the Happiest Celebration end?

We are planning on going to DW this spring but want to schedule our vacation before the Celeb ends- does anyone have a date? Also, anyone know when the new roller coaster at AK will be finished? We'd love to do that too at our visit.

HCOE will run until next fall...probably till the end of September or October.

No official word from Disney on Expedition Everest, but rumors have it opening in April.

Some sneak-peaks for Expedition Everest have already been announced for late-January.

Wow next fall. For some reason I had it in my head it was going to end in May... We are planning on the first week in April so hopefully Expidition Everest will be open by then.

I thought it ran through August. I may be wrong, but I remember when it started it was supposed to last for 18 months and I figured it out to be August as the last month.

As Bicker said, it started on 5/5/05. If you count May 2005 as the first month, then the 18th month is October 2006. If you count exactly 18 months from May 5, 2005 you get November 5, 2006.

Though word on the street is that the actual end date will be September 30, 2006. This would give them the ability to start a WDW 35th Anniversary celebration on October 1, 2006.

Just called Disney directly and was told that the celebration ends September 2006. He said that the decorations for this celebration would be taken down at that time and new one's put up for the next celebration.

My trip is scheduled for next November. Darn, will just miss it. Oh, well.

They actually said THAT??? That would be NEWS, Terk, that there (unquestionably) be another celebration starting October 1. That was what many of us thought, but this sounds like someone actually knew something official??? Who did you talk to?

Talked to a cast member at 407-WDisney. He was not sure, so he put me on hold to ask the manager, came back and that's what he told me.

My guess, and this is just a guess-Epcot will be turning 25 in 2007, so they may have something in the works for that. Like maybe that Celebration will start in late '06 and then run all through '07.
Thats what I'm hoping anyway, as Epcot is my favorite park
