I'm thinking of a possible January trip and I wanted to send out feelers to see when the new years celebration dies down.

I was thinking of going the first half so is anything else crowd building going on then? Or is it just plain busy because school is still out for Christmas?

Thanks for the info.

oh god, New Years Eve is like the WORST NIGHT i have ever worked. park closing at 12:00PM, DCA closes at 3:00PM.

The Hub was PACKED at 6PM and the crowd control started around 5PM. It didnt clear out until 2:00AM.

We went the last day of the official holiday season this year, Sunday, January 7. Crowds were very manageable and we were able to catch the last day of all the holiday shows/parades/fireworks. The following two days weren't bad either! :thumbsup2

We were there from the 3rd until the 7th. It was much busier than it has been in the past because many schools (like ours) didn't start again until the 8th. That being said, with early entry and fastpass, we didn't experience any major waits (longest was 30 minutes for Star Tours without a fastpass.)
