When does Disneyland's 50th anniversary celebration begin?

We are planning a trip to Disneyland in April 2005 and were wondering if this was going to be during Disneyland's 50th anniversary?

Supposed to be April 2005, but I haven't heard a firm date. I wonder if it will last 18 months like most Disney anniversaries?
