When does Christmas season start at DL?

It has been my experience that around Veteran's Day weekend that the Christmas decorations will be up on Main Street and New Oreleans Square. Big Thunder Round Up will be open with Santa Claus and cookie decorating. Small World and Haunted Mansion will have the holiday overlays complete. Except for the taping of the Christmas show, the parade and Christmas fireworks will not be running yet. Those usually start Thanksgiving weekend.

Last year everything started one week before Thanksgiving (meaning the snow and the Winter Castle icicle light show up Main Street to the tree, but IASW Holiday started a little earlier than that). This was on November 21, I think. And the assorted Christmas trees around DLR were still going up in that week leading up to 11/21. New Orleans Square always gets decorations up earlier than the other lands, it seems. This year we expected an 11/20 date for everything to begin (again, one week before Thanksgiving), but now it looks as though it may be 2 weeks before, possibly.

Since they are taping the Verry Merry Christmas parade on Saturday November 6th I am thinking that most of the decorations will be up that first week in November. You would think the parade route and the castle because of the concert they are doing after the parade....just a thought..
