When do your kids start school in 2015?

Like a previous poster we're also in MN and also start September 8th. There are very few schools that actually request the waiver to start earlier that I know of.

Allentown, PA - August 31. I know some of the other schools around here start after Labor day.

Every district in the state of NH is different, but ours goes back 9/2.

Our school district's first day back is August 31st as we usually return the week before Labor Day. The majority of school districts in our region start back either August 24th or August 31st.

ETA: we are in southwestern PA - in the suburbs of Pittsburgh

We're in the Indianapolis area, and many districts around here are on a balanced calendar. Kids start next Wed 7/29 but get two weeks off in October (great for WDW last year and DLParis this year).

South Shore Massachusetts we are going back September 2nd, originally we were scheduled to go back September 8th but our district received a waiver to start before Labor Day.

Michigan...all public schools start after Labor Day

South East MA - Sept. 1st. Most school systems in the area start the week before labor day when labor day is late like it is this year. Though there are still a few hold outs who go back after labor day. The school committees set the schedule.

I'm a homeschooler, but SC public schools go back the 3rd Monday of August usually. (That's the earliest allowed date so most use it). I'm on the border of GA - they go back a week or two before that.

No idea what the other districts are in my area (south of Dayton, Oh), but we start Aug 12. This is a week or so earlier than usual, which moved our fall break to Columbus week. Not thrilled about the higher Disney crowds, but a crowded day at Disney is better than a boring day in Ohio, so I really can't complain. Lol

Northeast PA - August 26th

FL - start times vary between public and private schools. In South FL this year our Catholic high school is starting Aug. 24th.

Denver CO and we start Aug 17. School year ends on May 25 which is about a week ahead of years past.

I have relatives in Kansas and I know they start the same week as us.

Central Massachusetts - September 2nd.

This will be my 4th year having school age kids and it's always the week BEFORE Labor Day (no matter when Labor Day is) and it's a mid-week start. I have heard they do this to "ease" the kids back into the school routine. When I was a kid we never went back until AFTER Labor Day ...

I know that most of the counties in area around us in Maryland including our county (Howard County) start back August 24th.
