There may have been a poll done on this before but I thought it would be fun to find out when everyone likes/favourite time or plans trips to DisneyWorld and why?

You can include factors or reasons such as crowd levels, weather, park hours, events or promotions, school holidays etc.

We have been there is high crowd seasons early August and Christmas. This next time I think we want to plan April-May. We would like to try a more relaxed approach to our vacation than a commando type that we have done in the past.

We like to go in October for MNSSHP, F+W, less oppressive heat and "lighter" crowds. Also, my birthday is in October.

I go every year, late January. When I was in high school, we went at that time because school had a few days off due to a holiday and it was the end of the marking period so there was another day off. Also, my parents figured if we missed a few days in two different marking periods, it wouldn't be that hard to catch up. It also worked well because of the snow. Some years we'd have off due to the snow and wouldn't miss as much school.

Another reason we go in January is because thats when my grandparents rent a house down there. They flock down there in the winter because they LOVE Disney world, and they've got nothing else better to do.

It works out for me because im no longer in school and I work a seasonal job where I get the entire winter off, I can go down to disney too!

Next year im planning on changing it up a bit and going in September or October with my boyfriend. I don't know what to expect then!

Big fan of January. Low crowds, pleasant weather -- awesome!

I love early November...have had some very uncrowded days there... even have pictures in my scrapbook of us and no one else in the picture at all! the weather is usually perfect, warm but not sickening hot. Dont think it has ever rained on me there in November. Food and Wine Festival. Warm enough to swim, often in the evening, but always in the daytime. I am counting down the days until my November 1st trip ! Have also been there in December, and got some very chilly weather and a little rain, but nothing I wasnt prepared for. Still, to me, November is perfect.

Late October through mid-November is our favorite time. Pros- Low crowds, beautiful weather, MNSSHP/MVMCP, fall/Christmas decorations, F&W, and lower prices. Cons- DD about to be in HS, doesn't want to miss school to go.

2nd choice- January to mid February. Pros-Low crowds, cool weather, low prices, we can go and not miss too much school because of MLK holiday. Cons- Can be too cold, attractions closed for refurb, short hours.

I put down the Aug- late Sep period, although our trips then usually are the last week of Sep and into the first week of Oct. Value season, lower crowds and still warm.

But some years we also go in late Jan-early Feb. Again for the lower crowds. It's really nice to be able to do that and no longer have to worry about school and work schedules. Retirement is nice. :cloud9:

We go every April and October. Partly, it's tradition as I grew up going in either May or October, some years we went during both months. I didn't set out to create an almost identical outline to that of my childhood vacations but those months are what seem to work best for us now.

The biggest factor for me is crowd levels. I've been to the World numerous times during its peak seasons and while I enjoy myself, I don't fully enjoy it. April and October afford us lower crowd levels and therefore shorter wait times, etc.

Weather is another factor and April's and October's is beautiful. The heat and humidity aren't overbearing. I don't break a sweat by simply standing still. My toddler isn't melting into a puddle while throwing a tantrum because she's too hot.

Also, these time frames are what work for all of us going in regard to our work schedules. I get 2 weeks paid vacation each year but for some silly reason, I get awarded 1 week in January but the 2nd isn't available to take until October. Yes, it makes no sense but eh, whatever, it's still 2 weeks paid vacation. My grandmother owns her own business and is able to close her store whenever she feels fit, but my aunt is a doctor and we often have to plan around her work schedule just as much as mine.

my choice used to be Oct/Nov but my last trip we went Nov/Dec and it was our first Disney Christmas trip! It was phenomenal - i loved it!!

so, yes, the weather is better, the crowds are lower and being at my favorite place in the world during my favorite time of year!!

I voted late Sept/early Oct as that's when we scheduled this year's trip for. Food and Wine festival, warm enough to swim, crowds a little less than summer. It's starting to get decorated for Halloween.

We like to go in October because of MNSSHP, a little cooler weather, and "lower crowds." It is also when my husband can get his vacation:goodvibes

When DD was a consideration we went in mid-June: after school was out in the midwest but hopefully before the entire country was out, avoid the highest prices/worst heat of the summer.

Now that it's just DH & me, we're loving May. Less expensive. Can catch part of F&G AND a Star Wars weekend. Warm enough to swim but not the mid-August meltdown. Before hurricane season. Before most schools are out so it's a bit less crowded. Less expensive. Yes, I said that before but it bears repeating.

Just have to make sure we leave before WDW and the airlines gear up for Memorial Day.

That said, my "lottery-winning" bucket list would include a week in December but before Christmas week. 'Course it would include that week being Club Level at the Wilderness Lodge, which isn't going to happen without a really, really big lottery ticket. So long as I knew we could ALSO come back in May, I'd skip the warmer weather in favor of seeing Christmas WDW-style.

We go in September every year. MNSSHP has one of the best parades all of the villians are awesome.

We also enjoy the low crowd levels and the Free Dining and our stay at POP.

78 days until the adventure begins again

I am a teacher, so in the past I had only been able to go to WDW at spring break or summer. Last year though, I combined a couple personal days with what was already scheduled to be a long weekend the first of October and it was WONDERFUL. So, we are doing the same thing again this year.

We go in August. I know, it's hot. But it is just as hot or hotter in CT in Aug. Hubby is a teacher and I am in the Athletic dept. at the same school. He runs a special school program during winter and spring break so summer is our only choice. Can't wait until we retire and can see what it like the other times of the year.

My wife is a Tupperware Director so we go for her convention (Jubilee) at the mid/end of August each year and then extend it beyond into a family vacation. She gets convention rates of $150 a night at the Contemporary and then this year we're moving over to Beach Club on our Vacation Club points.

Crowds are usually light and the heat hasn't been as bad as one would think.

We have only been once, at end of June, but our next trip will be in summer as well. We are not inclined to take our kids out of school. We would consider April vacation week as well.

We tend to go the during the last 2 weeks of Aug. Hot summer weather, lower crowds, easier touring, cheaper flights, free dining and room only deals are usually offered, tradition!:wizard:
