When does everyone start packing for their trip?! I have my suitcase open in my room and I've slowly started putting things in day by day. Only 22 days left!

i tend to start packing slowly a week or so in advance. unfortunatly i have a prior engagement the same week i leave so i will have to unpack before packing but depending on my excitement level depends on when i start packing!

I usually TRY to begin packing sooner....but I am a master procrastinator!;)
I am STILL not packed and we leave in two days....:scared1:

 Good luck with that! Major props to you though. :worship: I'd be having an anxiety attack!

I start about two weeks before just making sure I have everything.

It depends, but I find that if I pack too early everything just gets very wrinkled. I don't have time usually to iron everything to a crisp.

If I am going in the summer, I tend to mostly pack over a day or two- as I wearing most of my favorite summer clothes. In the winter months , I tend to pack a few days earlier. I may dig out items a month before the trip, try them on. Go shopping to cover any needs. I wash them within a week before I go and keep them in a group on hangers.

I do gather some stuff ahead of time, and make a list. I also sort of keep certain toiletries in a Ziploc all the time: travel tubes of toothpaste, travel size mouthwash, sunblock. I also have a few things that are more or less WDW stuff: like temp tatoos, leftover Mickey stickers. Somehow they sort of just stay in the suitcase since I don't need them.

A certain number of things, like my cell phone and charger, favorite hairbrush, I find that I can't pack until the night before or day of the trip.

I usually pack like the day/night before. All my toiletries are usually packed up earlier then that though, because that's the hardest to pack.

As a kid if I packed too much too early I found out that I needed to wear those clothes I packed! :rotfl: So I guess I trained myself to pack quickly and get everything in a short time.

I also like to make a list of what to pack very early so it's just a matter of collecting such items. But I'm a weird kid, I like to make list and organize it out, just not to do it.

We leave in December and I have a box in my room of things I've picked up for my daughter (a size or two bigger), myself and my DH. I just can't help but be excited!!! I got her a super cute pair of Disney Crocs with the "fur" lining!

OH I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I use to begin slowly packing a week before now I'm lucky to get it all done the day before. Plus it depends on if we're driving or flying. We're driving this time so I'll be taking far more than I need. :lmao: Ya just never know!

I guess I'm silly...but I always keep a Disney bag packed.:wizard:
Change of clothes, a few bathroom needs and anything I buy that can go without needing to be used on a daily basis. You never know when a sudden trip might happen!:yay:

We are going in September. I have a Disney box in my closet that I use for each year's trip. I put things in it in the months leading up to the trip. In it right now are activities for our son for the plane (I pick these things up whenever I see something) and the Neat Sheet for our stroller. I also have a toiletry travel bag that is always packed for Disney. I also started a list of things not to forget and another list of outfits. I usually start packing clothes the week before the trip.

It's just me and DW so packing is a snap. I start maybe two days ahead, DW just one day.

I can certainly appreciate the excitement of preparing for a trip, but if we packed as far in advance as some do we wouldn't have any stuff to wear before the trip.;)

We tend to pack the night before we leave.

We do unpack. It makes the whole trip more relaxing, more like vacation and less like a business trip.

I start packing about a week before we go. As I'm washing the kids' clothes I go ahead and pack them in their suitcase, and then tend to do mine just a couple days ahead.

I do have a bag that remains packed with travel size toothpaste, shampoos, body wash, nighttime pullups for the kids (I'm so afraid they'll have an accident since they're so tired), sunscreen, ponchos and a mattress protector (again for the kids' bed).

My "Disney" bag is always ready to go and every time we get home from a trip I replace whatever I need to replace.

:surfweb:Yes, sounds weird but I use the same 3 suitcases for Disney every year. I have certain things I only use for Disney and I know that if I take them out they'll get misplaced or wrecked. For example, I have 2 pairs of shorts that are only for the hot weather at DW and I don't want to get them so dirty over the course of the next year that I can't use them down there. Also, there are items, like emergency gear, that I leave init as a place that's easy to get at them. And, it's a great feeling to know we're going again! So, right now, I'm about 60% packed already!:worship:

I usually pack very early, but after making my packing list. I'm going to pack the night before. Making a list definitely helps!!:thumbsup2
