I know we basically just got done with Christmas:santa: but I was wondering how early everyone else starts their shopping? The reason why I ask this question is because My husband and I are planning a trip to Disneyland for the first week of December for 9 days:banana: and I know when we get back we'll be broke!:( but we still want everyone to have a good Chirstmas:) . Usually our Christmases are pretty big so we just want to plan ahead financially. I know it's early but I'm a planner and it's also really exciting for me to think so far ahead and have something to look forward to later in the year.:rolleyes1 I mean after all, I already booked our Disneyland trip just shortly after the new year and were not going until December 8th.

I can't start shopping until Thanksgiving.
So many times I've shopped earlier and never find what I bought come Christmas.

I usually go shopping near the end of November. Why you may ask? Because the pre-teen girls at church run a daycare service on saturday then so i send the girls there and go christmas shopping! Enjoy your trip!

When I think about it. That is about October. Or if I found something that I think would be great Christmas gift for someone.

I do mine all year round. I save those two or three things they really want closer to Christmas but start getting those filler gifts now. Like all stores are having clearnace on winter clothes..I pick up sweaters, boots, hats, gloves and the like in a bigger size and save for Christmas. I find I don't spend nearly as much if I spread it all thru the year and pick up a lot of things on clearance and only have a few things to pick up right before the holiday.

I start in October and finish in early November, except for last minute gifts and stocking stuffers. I refuse to go into the stores after Thanksgiving unless ABSOLUTELY necessary.

Whenever I see something that someone would like, especially if it's on sale. DS is only 2, so he's not really asking for specific toys yet, which makes it easier. I shop clearance sales all year as well as looking for new, unopened toys at consignment and yard sales. I actually have bought a few things at Dollar Tree also that I can use for stocking stuffers when he gets a few years older (Disney flashcards, Mickey pens, etc). It drives DH nuts, but then he's not the one out shopping for everyone's gifts when Christmas rolls around  .

 :cloud9: :cutie: :goodvibes :lmao: I shop all year long-whenever we are away on vacation, or out if I see something that would be great for someone I pick it up, I am usually finished before the Fall.
Less stress and spending money here and there, with 20 nieces/nephews (including step) and aunts/uncles, itsa bigga italiana familia! Fun though!

:wizard: how many more day, until I get some warm FL SUNSHINE 4/10!!:thumbsup2
