When do you put your Christmas decorations up?

We usually decorate for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. We have an artificial tree so that goes up then, too.

Happy Halloween, btw!!! ::clown:

The first week of December the tree (artificial) goes up and I do the windows and inside the house.

Nothing before Dec. 1....then inside decorations, outside decorations and then tree

We don't typically celebrate Thanksgiving (no family here and my son is always with his dad) so I normally do it Thanksgiving day/night.

Stuff goes up the day after Thanksgiving (the tree usually the weekend after since we buy a real tree and need time to buy it). Comes down right after New Years Day.

Whatever weekend falls closest to December 15; this year it will be Dec. 12/13. We leave the stuff up until after Epiphany though (January 6), so no way could I tolerate having it up any earlier.

I like your thinking!!

I'm so antsy to start putting up my Christmas decorations, that I might even put up our tree before Halloween gets over!! My house will become the Nightmare before Christmas!! LOL

Last year, we let the kids put their tree up the day before Halloween lol. Oh, and we don't take it down until the end of January. It's pretty & we like it.

For the last several years, I will put up the tree and stuff on Thanksgiving morning... but no turning on the lights until after dark (other than testing to make sure they work).

Usually the first week in December, but definately by the 10th.

I always want to do it Thanksgiving weekend, but DH doesn't go for it. We are usually eating, socializing and relaxing that weekend.

Thanksgiving night or day after Thanksgiving. It usually takes me 2-3 days. Both kids have trees that go in their bedrooms. Then the big tree, dining room decor and mantle decor. Christmas is my favorite holiday.

I hope I will feel like decorating this year. Normally I would start on Thanksgiving.

Anywhere from Dec. 7-12 or there about. Depends on when DH has a day off so we can go pick out a tree. My kids birthday is November 30th so I need a break in between, lol. I usually take things down on New Years but if the tree is going south or I'm just sick of it I do it sooner.

Normally the weekend following Thanksgiving, unless Thanksgiving is the last Thursday of the month then sometimes I decorate earlier that week.

This year might be different though, with getting my mom settled in a nursing home and doing all the goes along with that. Plus cleaning out her apartment. I'm hoping to have it done by Thanksgiving so we can turn the keys back over to her landlord. If it takes longer I might not do as much decorating for Christmas, and we may be having pizza instead of everything we normally have.
