When do you have to pay for DDP?

We are going in april an dhave our room booked at OKW (thru DVC) We plan on using DDP for all guests, but have not "finalized" that with payment to Disney....can we just pay for that when we check in and have it added to our cards? or should we work that thru DVC before we arrive?

Payment is required upon check-in, but you have to add the DDP with DVC at least 72 hrs before arriving.

With DVC it's 48 hours before arrival. With a package reservation it's 72. Unless DVC has changed that.

DVC reservations must pay for the dining plan at arrival. You can't prepay it through Member Services. Package reservations are the opposite: they must be paid off before arrival.

Just so I understand this... we need to contact DVC and add DDP to our reservation for all in the room (we actually have 14 in 2 seperate rooms for 8 nights !!! good thing for banked points !!) at least 48 hrs before we arrive. Once we arrive we will pay for the DDP, they wont take a CC, check, etc prior to arrival?

Your points, or points belonging to one or more persons in your party? You are correct.

If you are renting points from someone else, i.e. are not DVC members, the member will have to contact Member Services to 'order' the Dining Plan for you all, but you again just pay for it when you check in.

It is our DVC membership, just this is first time we have done DDP

I know I could have called DVC member services, but i knew I would get info just as quick from DIS'rs

I will call, get us locked in and pay when we arrive....Thanks
