When do you feel a cash ressie is a good thing???

I am contemplating added one more cash ressie with DVC discount if available. We are rolling in to OKW on Sunday and was thinking of coming in Sat. instead...not going to use the points for this since we are using boo coo points with a combination of 2 other cash ressies the following weekend...in order to do a long vacation. So...just curious as to how/why others use cash ressies at DVC resorts. I Know the price drops down by 75 bucks the very next day but we would also get cheaper airfare leaving on Sat. vs. Sunday which takes care of that extra 75 bucks. Hmmmmm what to do. Do those that use cash/or weekend points....try and get to their resort before noon to make it all worth it??

We drive in to Florida for our week long vacation, we usually book Sunday nights through Friday nights. We leave very early on Saturday morning and usually get outside WDW by very late Saturday night, this is when we make our cash ressie's. We'll book a value or a moderate. The discount is only for the DVC resorts but it is still less expensive to stay at the value or the moderate, than to pay for the DVC accommodation, even with the discount.

We'd have to get an overnight accommodation for that Saturday night anyway, whether we make it into WDW or stop before getting onto I4. We love being there, so we push it and stay on property for that night.
