Don't come for me, I'm only speaking hypothetically in the future! When do you think testing will stop?
We were on a Jan 2022 Fantasy sailing and it was amazing, but the anxiety leading up to the cruise almost made it not worth it in my husband's opinion. I'm planning our 2023 trip and I am hoping to do a weekend at WDW and then a week long cruise. But there's no way I'm going to risk the parks if we have to test... which leads to my question that no one has a real answer to. But I'd like to hear educated guesses!

I think testing will stop when it becomes not so readily available for the general public- Because nobody is really testing anymore.Another words - demand goes down or becomes a real process to actually get tested. I’m guessing the cruise lines that allow for at home testing before you even get to the port,, which is almost all of them besides Disney will stop first. And then Disney will follow. Right now the cruise lines have been lucky because many insurances cover testing, or people live in a place where there’s free testing or available. So to ask for their customers to get tested was not a real hurdle. It was a PIA but doable.

Cruise lines are slowly becoming the last thing where Covid testing is done. Maybe nursing homes and hospitals will pre-test for treatment but even by us screening at schools or places of work has stopped. and then at some point it’s kind a hard to sell testing to cruise concept when people no longer have to test for activities we actually have more person exposure. Cruise lines always get the blame, but I mean seriously it’s not like we’re all sleeping together like sardines on a submarine. I had more person to person extended contact at a work conference this week and nobody tested me before I went

I'm *hoping* that they move to a system that still requires vaccines and replaces testing with temperature checks. If a person has a fever OR is showing symptoms, then they get tested. Now, I know that doesn't answer your question at all. My *guess* is that within 3 months the tests will go away. My next cruise is May 21st and I'd LOVE it if they were done with testing by then, but I don't expect it.

I heard on the news they expect the FDA to approve vaccines for ages 5 and under. My guess is once that happens.
