When do transferred points expire?

If someone is wanting to transfer points that they have that will be expiring - do they expire on same date once transferred, or do they roll into the new owner's UY? For example, if I had points that were going to expire on March 1, would they expire on March 1 regardless of the other person's UY?

I'm still new at this, trying to figure out all the little details!

Transferred points are supposed to retain their original home resort and use year, as well as banking deadlines, though Member Services may or may not make an exception and allow the person to whom they are transferred bank them.
