When do tickets expire?

A day in a park is considered a day. WDW isn't open 24 hours, so a day is considered to be park hours. Whether YOU decide to go at rope drop or later in the day, you are still using a DAY, Disney time.
Agreed, but park passes are not sold just that way. Remember the water parks and more option...

10 day passes with water parks and more complicates things, don't you think? :thumbsup2

Not at all.

You didn't read my question very well.

Here it is again.

How many days at a theme park can you get only using a 10 day MYW ticket?

10 - Why do you ask? It has nothing to do with the discussion. You might as well ask for the color of the tickets. With MY 10 day tickets, I will get 20 park admissions which I must use in 14 days...

It depends on the options that you buy. I consider the water parks to be "theme parks". Why is this so confusing to you? :lmao:

The fluidity of your lexicon, I suppose.

I will ask another question.

How many days will can you visit a theme park if you add the hopper option to a 10 Day MYW ticket?

Robo is not talking about adding options. MYW the way he is stating it is just base tickets, no options. So 10 days is 10 days. What is so confusing to you?

Same answer. 10 days, just more options of parks per day.

I'm going to send both of you to your rooms shortly...

From the WDW web site:

Can new tickets be upgraded once they′re purchased?
Yes. New Magic Your Way tickets can be upgraded before your vacation begins, or within the 14-day window you have to use the ticket after its first used. Upgrades include extending the ticket length (i.e., adding more days) or adding any combination of Options: the Park Hopper Option, the Water Park Fun & More Option*) and/or the No Expiration Option.

I believe the use of "within" may have some semantic bearing, but Disney does treat the first day of use as Day 1 in pretty much anything that they give a "day" limit. A "day" to Disney is a unit of variable time, and it does not matter if you enter a park at rope drop or 5 minutes to close - that's the first day of the window.

I consider the water parks to be "theme parks". Why is this so confusing to you? :lmao:
It's confusing to me because your definition of "theme park" is in opposition to Disney's definition of "theme park."

I mean, sure, you are free to call a water park a "hahsenfeffer" for all that it matters, but Disney is the owner of the parks and the issuer of the admission media, as well as the marketer of the product ... and Disney NEVER refers to the water parks as "theme parks." NEVER.

So, speaking only for me, MY confusion stems from the fact that you are using a different definition than Disney itself uses.

Darn ... it was so much more fun watching other people debate over arcana so small that a paramecium wouldn't choke on it all.
