Planning to be at WDW on NYE and January 1st, 2nd 3rd 2026. When do the parks and resorts stop playing xmas music? Also when do they stop the holiday overlays on the rides? Space Mountain, Speedway, Jingle Cruise, Living with Land etc. Thanks!

I am confused why might this be important to you and your visit?

All should still be in place for your trip. If I remember, they started taking decorations down around the time of the marathon. It's January 7-11 this coming year. The decorations are kept up the week between Christmas and New Years and then start to disappear as quickly as they appeared! For some reason, I have it in my mind that they stay up until at least Epiphany, but I could be wrong.

The holiday theming will slowly go away towards the second week of January.

Maybe people want to go to Disney world to be immersed in Disney themes not Xmas. You can be immersed in Xmas just going to Target or Walmart.

Personally I prefer the Disney music and theming when in Disney World. It definitely has a more Disney feel to it.

The Christmas music at MK drove us nuts our last trip, and yes we went during December so we knew it would be on!
It even creeped in to the end of our October/November trip this year and we were like nope! 😄

I just got back Sunday and yep… It’s too much. Every once in a while we heard a Disney song and we were like “A Disney song!”

When we were there for the Marathon (a week before MLK weekend, the Christmas overlay for Jungle Cruise was still up as well as all of the Christmas music. But once most of the marathoners left (Monday) Christmas finally did as well as its music.

This.

I ran the Disney Marathon on a Sunday thru all the parks not long ago. All the parks had their Christmas overlays, decorations, and music (Jingle Cruise, etc.) as we went thru. On Monday (the next day) we went to MK and all the Christmas stuff was gone overnight. It was the Jungle Cruise again and no holiday music.

PS - Sunday night in the parks must be a busy night getting all those decorations down.
