When do most of the Gartner Symposium group start arriving ?

I was just wondering because we will be there from the 14th-19th ? Do most come the week before or the week of ? And how long do they stay ? Anyone know when to expect most of them to arrive and leave?

The far majority arrive on Oct. 21st (our last day there). Mant of the deluxe resorts are sold out becuase of it.

Most of the Gartner attendees are there only during the days of the symposium.

We were there last year during that week and while we saw them around the Epcot resorts, they didn't impact Epcot during the day.

They reserve a bloc of rooms at one or two of the Disney resorts, as well as the resort where the Symposium is being held, but not entire resorts. If the Epcot resorts are sold out during October, the popularity of Food & Wine Festival has much to do with it.

whew......kinda glad we'll miss them this year

last year, there were just so many that the BW area restaurants were often booked solid, waiting times at mini-golf went to over 2 hours, and the area was simply more congested.
we were hoping for the lower crowds and noise levels of previous non-convention visits (it appeared everyone attending the Symposium had at least one cell phone ringing or loudly being spoken on......waiting in the bakery line, during dinner, during the "street performances", in almost every one of our coveted "quiet areas" at the BW).

as a group, they weren't overly rude (there were one or two notable exceptions), but were mostly oblivious to the other guests and their vacation enjoyment. they seemed to be in their own little world......
