I'm going to be really sad when my kids stop singing when they play, read a book, clean their rooms (not that they clean their rooms that often) take a bath, sit in the stroller, sit on the potty, ride in the car....DD is 6 1/2 and DS is almost 3. I've been sitting here listening to them sing their real and made up songs just about all morning. Nothing beats "Jingle Bells" from my DS in April (or the grocery store). It's so sweet.

My DH still sings when he cleans, showers, etc. DD11 does as well.

My 12 and 15yo still do it, and it's not so cute now! :rotfl2: But my 6yo does it and it is cute at his age, except when he's singing their songs. :teeth:

He's been the source of entertainment before on the WDW busses, singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", etc. :teeth: My other kids were a lot more shy at his age, so this singing in public was something that I had to get used to with him. :rotfl:

Everybody still sings in this house. Last night DD17, DD12 and I did a fabulous rendition of "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" while we were cooking dinner.

Little children singing is so sweet, isn't it? Mine still did it for a long time - then they switched to singing along with the radio or a CD.

Oh, how I miss those "little" singing voices. I get to see my great neice from time to time and she's still in that "I can make sounds" stage (she's 9 months), I forgot how much I miss those sounds.

DS10 sings and dances all the time, but he is like a 10 year old version of Jim Carrey with his actions, etc. It cracks me up, but I think I would be slightly embarrassed out in public.

LOL! My DD used to sing on the toilet when she was little. As soon as her butt hit the porcelain, she was singing. It used to crack me up totally.

She's 17, and no longer sings on the toilet, but she does sing in the shower.

My DD went from singing to humming, she is now 21 and still hums. My DGD who has I think talked from birth, sings everything she does to the tune of Mary had a Little Lamb, she even sings a little song about Eeyore it goes something like this (and always make's me smile)

Eeyore has lost his tail, lost his tail, lost his tail, Eeyore has lost his tail, and is very sad.

We have to find it now, find it now, find it now, we have to find it now, and put it right back on.

We have to glue it on, glue it on, glue it on, we have to glue it on and make it very tight.

Tie it with a pretty pink bow, pretty pink bow, pretty pink bow, Tie it with a pretty pink bow, and now its very pretty. :eeyore:

I love listening to her sing this. I hope she never stops. By the way she will be 3 on May 30. The way she comes up with the words to make her own songs always amazes me.

Do you remember Baby Jessica who fell into a pipe in her yard out in west Texas and the whole country watched on TV as she was rescued? What I always remember is that she sang her little Sunday School songs when she was trapped underground.

My 8 year old son still sings when he plays. The 13 year old sings along with his iPod, until his 16 year old brother can't stand it anymore and tells him to stop- but I sometimes hear singing coming from the 16 year old's room, so he does it too!

Dh sings all the time- it's a running joke in our house that there's a song for everything.

I only sing in the car, and no one is allowed to stop me :teeth: .
